Where were those better attackers? That team scored just 65 goals, and Giroud ended up as the top scorer after not scoring for 3 months.
I am not gonna cancel Giroud for that awful period, the club/Wenger should take the blame for having Welbeck and Sanogo as his backups.
How can anyone defend that waste of space Giroud after actually watching us play that season

I don’t really buy into stats out of context, I watched enough games where Özil just didn’t contribute.

Stats are like highlights you can use them to make anyone look good.
That is the type of player he was usually on the fringes not an all action type like Cesc. Man would give you 15 mins a match and be missing for the rest of it. Still there is no denying that he was one of if not the most creative player in the world when it came to the final ball for a good few years, certainly from 2013-2016 in Arsenal colors.

It’s this exact type of fan that has actively encouraged and enabled Arsenal to become what we see today.

Focusing on the wrong stuff when it comes to attacking or creative players and now we have lumberjacks plodding around and our fingers crossed for set pieces.

It’s genuinely because of the majority think like HatoriHanzo, who would whinge and scold a Leao but praise a f*cking donkey like Giroud. The Havertz and them are inevitable and deserved unfortunately.
I get what you’re saying but this fanbase has no real impact on our transfer business?

unless you believe that fan pressure has a knock on effect on the media which then flows to the board/club…which it might idk.

I think it’s less about the fans not rating Leao types and more about the fans lapping up any and everything Mikel signs. Maybe it’s giving him positive feedback in an area where he really shouldn’t have received any.

I don't think that you can find many Arsenal fans being happy when Havertz was signed.
I can say for me that I wasn't happy, I was speechless.

Absolutely, I think our huge presence online goes against us when trying to sell players. I've spoken on this many times.

So our entire fanbase not rating player X will scare off other teams due to them taking our opinions seriously or due to the backlash from their fans?

Feel Giroud was quite a bit better than Havertz, tbh...feel he would suit this Arteta team quite well, as he's a very good box striker (which Arteta kinda needs in his current system) and we have real pace around him in Saka and Martinelli.

Wenger despite how much he seemingly loved and trusted Giroud, really didn't play to his strengths at all...there were times when we had Wilshere and Cazorla as wide players then, why want a striker like Giroud to mix with that lol...where's the speed?

Plus Arsène never really liked target men as strikers anyway, he always liked centre forwards who would move around the pitch in his system...so those random Giroud years were so bizarre.

Backlash. I am not silly enough to think that clubs take the opinions of A-M/Reddit/Twitter seriously, but an ambitious club will take into account what we though of Jesus (before his most recent injury).

Arsenal Quotes

I believe the target of anything in life should be to do it so well that it becomes an art.
When you read some books they are fantastic, the writer touches something in you that you know you would not have brought out of yourself. He makes you discover something interesting in your life.
If you are living like an animal, what is the point of living? What makes daily life interesting is that we try to transform it to something that is close to art. And football is like that.
