And what a career.
World champion with France, UCL and Europa league title with Chelsea, Serie A title with Milan, Ligue 1 title with Montpellier, 4 FA cups with Arsenal
Not bad for limited player.

So you're a Milan and Arsenal fan...

...so this was literally you when Shevchenko stole Henry's Ballon d'or award in 2004 lol 😅

No, he isn't.
I have watched Giroud in AC Milan, and he was excellent there.
Check his statistics in this 3 seasons he spent in Milan.
Giroud is at least 1 level above Havertz, as goalscorer.
We're talking about Arsenal Giroud here I don't care what he did at Milan. Zlatan with one functioning knee was still more mobile than him.
Giroud's headers were one of the best in the business, not the Ronaldo/Lewa level, but on par with guys like Dzeko, Zlatan, Mandzukic (we are talking about putting the ball into the net, not winning aerial duels)
He massively improved his one touch finishing in the box throughout his career to compensate for his lack of agility/dribbling skills. Just those two things gave his enough edge against most CBs. What does Kai do better as a striker? He's faster, alright, how many goals in transition has he scored for us, 2 maybe? Hope you are not going to tell me about Kai's elite playmaking ability with 0,15xA/90.
Giroud had decent consistent numbers (12-15) for the 3rd attacking options on the team, Haverz got past 2 digits in just one season in England 💀
It doesn't matter if he's the best in the world at heading the ball, it did not help him score more goals than CF Havertz, in total or against big teams. What's left is who has the better all round game and Havertz is head and shoulders above Giroud in that regard.

Is this a joke or some people are just this deluded?
Havertz's highest goal tally season in Arsenal is 14 all competitions
Giroud's lowest goal tally season in Arsenal is 16 all competitions
(the only time he lower than this is in 17/18 season where he was benched and sold in January, and even that season he bagged 12 goals 7 in Arsenal and 5 in Chelsea)

Giroud's assists to Ramsey literally got us 2 FA Cups

Captain Serious
Arteta fought tooth and nail against Edu and had to submit several bids to get Chelsea to sell him after he's been an abject failure there so he could shoehorn him into midfield and then as some type of battering ram at CF.

Meanwhile I'd bet anyone he would have never signed him from Leverkusen when he looked like a silky world beater at #10 lol

Not Emery's Old Pal
I think the 22/23 run in shook Arteta to his core. He saw what City did to us lumping the ball up to Haaland and KDB, and wanted a physical guy up that gives us that option.

Say what you want about Kai, but he has definitely given us that option (and despite everything, has a really good chance of getting 20 goals this season).

I think he’s a nice option to have in the squad, but isn’t someone you build a team around. Rich man’s Fellaini.
20 goals is only impressive when it's in the league and he is not getting 20 league goals. Guy is barely outscoring Martinelli who has been the recent punching bag.

If we are talking all comps then even Giroud who people still **** on was doing 20+ numbers in all comps on top of having double digits assists which Havertz has not achieved once since moving to England despite his fictional 'superior game'.

I think the Havertz defenders on here spent last season desperately convincing themselves he was worth the fee and the upheaval.

They can’t bring themselves to backtrack now.

Simple fact is, Havertz is nowhere near the quality we need as a title challenging team.

He was our best player in the run in last season. Got a crucial G/A in virtually every game.

there's this stats called goal scored, where we count the number of the ball hitting the back of the net.
no division, no specific term (@CF or / game), and a child can count it.

You wrote more goals, not percentage of goals divided per time as CF per game.
Which is a pretty bulshit stats btw, cause if Kiwior happens to get ordered to play as CF for 5% of a game and he scored 2 he would ranked as one of the best strikers in the world

you don't have to like Giroud,
but shifting stats like making goals @CF or other terminology, doesn't make Havertz becomes any better

In my original post I said that they scored at about the same rate, there's no shifting of goal posts here. Kai got over 100 games at CF over his career, I think that's enough data to suggest his scoring rate isn't a fluke. Obviously I can't compare a full seasons goal tally of Kai playing CF with Giroud since he keeps moving around in positions.

Anyways he's got 7 in 17 this season playing CF. Can't see why he won't be able to score another 7 from now until the end of the season which will put him in average Arsenal Giroud season territory.

Are you joking? The manager literally called him a midfielder when he joined, he started every single game at the start in midfield to the point where even Partey was pushed to RB to make room for him.
You're conflating it with abscences and gaps in the rest of the team and him being a well rounded footballer. Just because he can play in midfield doesn't mean we signed him to play in midfield. He literally played up top in the community shield against city in his first professional game.

Did Madrid sign Jude Bellingham to play false nine? Or is he a well rounded world class player who can play numerous positions on the pitch well?
