The issue with Kai is that the evidence suggests this is in fact his norm, and the “blip” at the end of last season was a purple patch.

He is a confidence player, others are also not helping the situation. I would expect Ødegaard and Trossard score more as well. He is under lot of pressure to score and he is not a natural goal scorer. We need to find a proper #1 to lead the line.

So what I disagreed with was Kai being a 30-40 GA a season player. Middle of that range would be 35 but fine we can go down to 33.

Alternatively, I’d prefer we stick to 25GA in the league which is what I’d want at CF for us. It’s also a similar rate to the second half of last season which would prove that it wasn’t a fluke.

Happy to bet on either tbh. Losing would probably mean we turned our season around and no longer need a CF.
