It's concerning. I know it's preseason, but players don't suddenly ignite when they look so garbage in preseason. Especially considering these pre season games have been pretty high intensity games against teams we'd actually be facing in the season.

My main concern is Ødegaard. We got Gyok and Madueke for Havertz and Martinelli and I'm certain we will get another attacker, but I'm disappointed in how Ødegaard has been playing so far.

I have faith in him though. But he needs to get into form asap once the season starts. We need him.

Couldn't agree more. I think Ödegaards form is the main reason we're after Eze. People think he's the LW signing but I don't believe that at all at the moment.

I don't really have faith in him right now to turn it around. If he can't show up against Real Madrid and PSG last season, two of the biggest ties in the Emirates era, when is he? He was totally anonomys, both against PSG and against Real. As a captain thats unexcusable.

Also AM talks about “Agenda” etc, how can it be an agenda when the same people who killed him while he was at Chelsea are calling him out now he’s here?

When he was at Chelsea, most of this place thought he was a clown. I understand you get behind him and wear your rose tinted glasses when he comes here but stop with the agenda stuff, it’s dead.

I am a fan of Havertz but he does completely hide and lose the basic ability of being a footballer when he's not in form.

He's as if not more of a form dependent player than Özil, except Ozils ceiling was of course much higher, making his awful performances much more justified.

Not sure if making him second fiddle in the team will do anything for him other than make him worse. It's hard to tell as he likes to hide so maybe less pressure will suit him, but at the same time unless he hits a patch of form he turns to ****.

You’re acting like we haven’t spent the last decade struggling outside the top 4 in Europa.

The word that comes to mind when watching him play is anaemic. Guy just looks lifeless. I was a fan of what he COULD provide, but there isnt a fire in his belly.

Him, Martinelli and Ødegaard look absolutely shocking in preseason.

And all will be in the starting 11 come the first game of the season.
And before anyone says “ but Gyokeres “ Havertz is on nearly £300k a week, Arteta will force him into the starting 11 somewhere.
All 3 should be nothing more as squad options, as starters they’ll hold us back.

People thought I was horrible being happy when he got injured. It was to save my mental health. Imagine watching this trash week in week out. Also when he got injured last season he was literally playing against us

It's still a horrible thing to wish injury on your own players; however, I hope he caught using steroids and faces a lengthy ban. We need a Mudryk situation to save Arteta from his hubris.
