Any time I saw him last season he done well would be ideal ass out of all the Madrid players we have been linked with he is the one really on the fringes and earning the most money (assuming his wages reflect his transfer fee). Also I don't think he will have much longer left on his contract, he signed 3 or 4 years ago, or at least at the same time as Ronaldo who has only extended once and his contract is up in the next two seasons.

i think you're way off base.

just look at that video above that someone posted. he sprinted practically the length of the field to score a goal.

his agility and burst were some of his best attributes. his signature move was dropping the shoulder and sprinting right by defenders. theo has more off the ball speed, but kaka's movement was far superior.

go back and watch some of his matches for milan and brazil from 03-07 and tell me he was never dynamic.

Maybe dynamic wasn't the right word. And the comparison you make is exactly what I mean. His movement was superior, and that's why I think he is still awesome.

This is the one I really want to happen. Probably the best midfielder I've ever seen (I'm in my twenties, before you ask). He hasn't really lost any pace because he was never that dynamic, he floats across the pitch. Make this happen.

Here's what I mean.

Dynamic: Theo, Lennon, Torres (of old)

The likes of Toure, Kaka are hardly dynamic. Their pace comes from power more than anything. It also helps to be a smart runner. Notice how often he passes someone by cutting across the defenders path, not allowing them to reach full speed, or even completely blocking them off. You hardly ever see Kaka actually beat someone in a sprint race, he's smart enough to know
how to get the advantage.

Yes it's true Kaka never beat someone in a sprint race.

Because they gave up before they even tried.

Seriously, even Messi couldn't dribble at Kaka's pace. I'm not kidding.

Messi has that initial acceleration though when dribbling with the ball that is unparalleled but at his peak Kaka was defenitely faster with the ball at his feet.

This is my point. I'm TRYING to compliment him ha, I'm obviously not doing a good job. I mean what he has is less likely to go with age than what Theo, Lennon, even Messi, have.

Kaka would be a great role model for our young players, he was one of very few that was considered "the greatest", in he's time with Milan, this was when most of our youngsters were buying him on there computer games. He would benefit the squad in many ways, he's still a quality player(understatement), and only 31, if you think Arteta was a quality signing at he's age, then Kaka.... I'll say no more.

With the World Cup in his home country in mind it his really up to him if he wants to take a pay cut and leave to a club where he will actually play. If he is still motivated and physically in good shape, at this point I'd take him without a doubt.

i get what you're saying, i just disagree. his burst is what made him special, and that burst is largely gone. he still has the technical ability he always had, but he's lost a lot of his pace and acceleration, and those two things (along with his technique, obviously) are what made him the force he was.

I'd take him if he's willing to take a solid paycut, he's not worth over 100k per week any more. Not sure he's done as a player though. He doesn't have the pace he used to have which was a big part of what made him world class but he also always had great technique, good shooting/finishing, passing and good vision. Maybe he could do a job in a db10 role.

I agree with MD that his pace was a crucial part of his game though and once he lost some of that top speed/acceleration he's not been the same player since. It was the same with Henry for example, he wasn't the same player the last season for us and after he left us because he didn't have that unique burst of pace anymore, regardless of all the other qualities he had.

pre season game against inter this summer, he can still play;

Looking at the games he's played this pre season he can still play. Clearly he's never going to be as good as he once was but I think he still has some magic in him.

He'd improve our squad.

Not sure why anyone would scoff at Kaka considering our squad options. I just wish we made a move last season, he's 31 now.

A loan move would be fine.

Kaka on loan and either Di Maria/Draxler and we are in business!

PLEASE, no he isn't what he was but he is still capable of genius. He also wants to play in the world cup - he'll definitely perform next season just hope it's here.

I'd happily pay a 5m loan fee and around 120k per week. If it goes really well we offe him a 2 year deal. At worst Wilshere can learn some things from him and take over next season.
