we'll see but if he become available there will be many teams after him.
We're starting to make our way to the front of this queue now, still behind the super clubs but the world has seen us slap both madrid teams and more recently Bayern. Only lost to the eventual winners in the CL semis and the whole world can see we just need an elite forward or two.

If I'm a young forward who backs myself I'm thinking that I'll be the guy who makes the difference.

This article sayjng he’s a number 10. I’ve only ever seen clips of him, but he looks like a Trossard style wide player.
That is what he is for the national team. He plays centrally for Juve but on the left for the national team. Turkey has Arda Güler, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and Orkun Kökçü for the central positions so Kenan never plays there.

He's more like Eze then. We really need an actual LW
remember we have Jesus leaving and Trossard/Kai/Nelli all approaching sell/extend years and not really looking like they should be extended due to wages or age. We’re about to see a lot of turnover in our forward areas with arguably 4 attackers who need to be replaced.

Taking into account that we have Noni and Eze , you can probably get away with replacing the four I mentioned with three players, maybe even two.

Either way there’s enough room for us to get Yildiz and a natural LW. Or maybe we go natural LW and ST or who knows, maybe a Trossard type is Mikel’s preferred left wing.

If a Trossard type player like Yildiz is he's preferred LW then I'd go all in for him & maybe Arteta is finally starting to realise he can't keep Trossard around forever & now looking at a young replacement, seeing if he is keen to make the move to the PL & Arsenal. I'll be all for bringing him in.

Mahrez, Trossard, Kulu, prime Grealish and Bernardo Silva are good examples of wingers who succeeded in this league without Pace and Power.

The technical levels and football IQ just have to be very high.

+Trossard who is clearly our best LW option despite being relatively slow. What's more important is technical security, ball striking and vision.

Trossard is in there lol but agreed. :)

Oops lol I missed it. I'm starting to think that type of profile is what suits our team rather than a PnP profile. Our best form has been with Tross on the LW and Saka on the RW. Wide creative play makers.

Yeah give me a Trossard with pace rather than a pacy ‘winger’ at this point.

Having said that I think most wingers coming through are expected to have an eye for a pass these days. Martinelli is a massive outlier.

You really see how Martinelli limits us when he plays vs teams that sit deep. Might as well not have a LHS.

Yep I guess we can’t afford to carry players who aren’t gonna be able to pick out a delicious pass, cross or score goals from the wings.

Our CF is already quite limited in terms of how much they get the ball due to the way teams set up against us, so we need our wingers to be productivity guys.

People say it’s easier playing for a better team but in many ways that’s not necessarily the case for the attackers. Wingers who rely more heavily on pace really struggle vs low blocks.

I’d say we need pacey options for certain games but otherwise I would much prefer a younger Trossard type to a lower IQ pace demon. They’d need to be elite at dribbling for it to the worth it but we already have that with Madueke anyway.

Genuinely don’t think pace merchant wingers are even relevant anyway.

None of the wingers worth talking about can be put in that bucket these days. Every elite winger is expected to be a good playmaker these days, even if you can’t cut in and do intricate combos you’re expected to be able to whip in a good cross or cut in and play accurate through balls.

I’m excited for LW shopping because the talent and profiles are out there. Look at City getting a relatively free run at Cherki as an example.

Cherki talent was clear for anyone. But he came with a lot of baggage most big clubs simply didn’t want to deal with. He’s also defensively non existent. I can see why teams were reluctant tbh
