• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

The risk is too high to spend that kind of money without knowing if he’ll succeed in the PL. Serie A is a weak league — you’ve got a 40-year-old Modrić still thriving there and PL rejects looking like star players.

I’d rather spend that money on Semenyo — he’s PL-proven and an Arsenal fan.

Who isn’t an Arsenal fan at this point?

Juventus don't sell well. Their record sale is 105m euros for Pogba, when they were a super power in their peak getting to UCL finals.

These days they are struggling to make top 4, with a terrible squad. Since the start of this decade when they are regressing, they have only sold 2 players above 30m euros (Pjanic who was part of a dodgy deal, and De Ligt to Bayern).

100% agree. I don't get why people are talking about them like they're the pinnacle of football. This is the weakest they've been for a while.

Their squad is average, their managerial choices have been average, and their transfer business is all over the place. Even if we're ignoring the Huijsen fumble, just look at what they did with someone closer to Yıldız's position (Soule).

They'll sell if the price is right. This is just the unfortunate nature of the league.

While I agree with this, there is something to be said for how players are used as well.

Inter Milan who have been flying high in Europe for a few years now basically got there with a PL testimonial squad.

A washed up KDB looks like the best player of Serie A. Even Hojlund looks good there.

He does have high flop potential with that fee

I was always a fan of Mkhitaryan before United signed him. Wenger got him playing some tastey football and I think he would of done really well if Wenger wasn't sacked. Instead we got changed into Wingback Cross FC by Emery
