• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

You may discuss this in the thread

Signing Yildiz for that LW position would mean completing the squad for us. Don‘t see it happening though.

I think there’s no debate that Yildiz and Alvarez in would mean we just go into becoming a behemoth for the next 4-5 years. We collect 2-3 PL titles and hopefully a CL.

You offload Trossard Havertz Jesus to make it happen.

I don’t think we need anything else next summer. Our defence and midfield is absolutely stacked.

Just spend £180-200m on these 2.

Also factor in Hincapie move (~40m)

But yes Yildiz/Alvarez would be good.

Also Havertz may still be needed as he is the only forward that is good in the air in our team (and Merino)

The guy has a contract until 2029 and he has been linked with several clubs. His agent has said he deserves to be paid better and they pushing for new deal. Don’t fall for this

@A_G still feels like yesterday seeing the clip of Ousmane and immediately knowing without having to really scout him, same thing with Doue.

How do you feel from Yildiz’ highlights? I get very similar vibes, not as strong as those two but still pretty strong.

Ousmane just popped out of the screen and slapped you in the face. I remember watching those clips at Rennes.

Yeah it’s a signing we probably won’t make, why would Juve want to lose a future superstar? It’s also going to be difficult to get him to leave Turin for London when they can offer him pretty much everything we can while still paying him well, just not as well.

But if we try then I respect the club for it. These are the kind of signings that can establish you at the top for years.

- Better league and better chance to win CL
- We’ll pay him more
- Huge Turkish diaspora in North London

All this plus the usual Arteta hypnosis for new signings means we could do this if we really wanted to. Remember Juve were an elite side 2014, about to make the CL Final the following season but Alexis still chose us over them.
