Not Emery's Old Pal
Nah Gallas for me. I genuinely hate him. Making him Captain over Kolo is the weirdest thing Arsène ever did.
It's a fair shout, but Cech was equally as bad as if not worse than Mustafi the season we dropped out of top four. Then there was his performance in EL final when he had already secured a job with Chelsea. Guy did real lasting damage to this club. Somehow he got away with it with his reputation largely intact.

What's shocking is that in that sea of garbage, Helmet head is still the worst of the lot.

Disagree. Cech was good in his first season however the Gerry Peyton took his tol and he wasn't the same the following season.

Luiz, Willian, and Sterling were the worst.

Kepa completes Arsenal medical
Sky Sports News' Sahil Jaidka and Lyall Thomas:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has completed a medical with Arsenal and is expected to be announced by the club in the next 24 to 48 hours.

The goalkeeper is believed to be in London putting the final touches to a £5m switch from Chelsea.

The Spain international will bring experienced cover for David Raya into the goalkeeping department.

Kepa played for Bournemouth last season as a replacement for Neto, who was on loan at Arsenal.

Please God let this be the last cast off we ever sign, please... really don't think it's good for the rep/mentality of the club, even if technically it's "smart" business.

How many cast offs from other English clubs did we sign from 1989-2004, when we were actually winning titles?

Please get back to that soon Arsenal, I beg 🙏

All the time Chelsea run their business as they do currently, then we will be heading there for players.

We would be foolish not to.

They are not averse to selling to rivals, they are also signing gazillions of players who they work out close to the season starting they cannot fit in their squad.

There will be bargains to be had, particularly loan players. We have had a bad experience with sterling, but Chelsea remains a decent source to get a player on loan that we find ourselves lacking in.

I challenge you to name one player not in their starting eleven that we’d do well to loan for the coming season.

Sterling was by far the worst Chelsea reject. No competition. Luiz actually helped us win an FA cup despite his many mistakes and laziness on the ball during the season. Willian was nowhere near as bad as Sterling has been this year.

I think Kepa is a good shout for backup keeper, and if he can get his head and form back, he could actually push Raya. It's a big if, but if the club spends the saved money on a forward, I can forgive the risk.

When you grow up with a club and you end up playing for them and winning things, you are from that club. I was born here. I was formulated here.
