Of course, every german/bundesliga viewer knows him.
You could compare him a bit with Ramsey with his workrates, but more technically talented. Very quick foots, good free kicks.
Better offensive, can win 1vs1 but stills a lot for the defense.

Hoffenheim is losing key player after key player (Nagelsmann will surely not be long there) and it's only a small club with money.
The best players will not play there for a long time.

With Ramsey and Wilshere on this position, i don't think we would make this deal. Maybe he could play the Özil position.

Mislintant surely will look in the bundesliga for some transfers. Despite Bayern we can sign players from every club.

He's a well-rounded central midfielder, but he tore ligaments in his ankle this weekend, so I doubt that we're buying him.

He still could be a summer target. According to the Bundesliga website the injury is expected to keep him out for "several weeks." So it's good they're talking weeks instead of months. And Julian Nagelsmann, Hoffenheim's coach, said "This isn’t good news, although we were worried it might be a more serious injury."

Good player. High energy sort of guy. Excellent left foot. Nifty passer. Has worked his way onto the German national team. This probably diminishes his chances for the World Cup though.

For someone whose best qualities are offensive it must be said that his defensive stats are very good. I'd argue we need someone whose best qualities are defensive though.

If either Ramsey or Wilshere were to leave then I can see the logic in getting him, but I'd rather they stayed personally.

Another really good player, he plays really similar to Ramsey.
Great striking technique.

IMO we 're making enquiries in order to have replacements lined up for anyone of Wilshere/Ramsey, in case they don't sign, because both Meyer and Demirbay are really similar in style to these.

What really irks me is that we aren't snooping around a DM, the only position in our midfield that doesn 't have 2 dedicated players there, with the only being Elnenny, who should get binned for a class DM.

A couple of scouting reports on Demirbay...

This is Anfield profiled him a few months ago when he was rumored to be a Liverpool target:

Regardless of overall team system—they’ve played both three and four at the back this term—Demirbay’s position in the side remains constant.

He’s a central, roving midfielder for them, operating between both boxes, one of two with licence to break forward with regularity and always with another holding player in behind.

Keys among Demirbay’s traits are his agility on the ball, a will to win back possession and a tremendous left foot.

While he’s not a speedy, low-centre-of-gravity dribbler in the manner of Salah or Sadio Mane, the Hoffenheim No. 10 is nonetheless excellent at moving in possession.

He’s able to quickly change direction of the ball and himself with a brief flick of the boot and readjustment of the body, as well as having a powerful stance on the run—think Tottenham‘s Mousa Dembele for a Premier League comparison of dribbling style.

In a flash he can be away from a challenge, all guile and style rather than a blurring speedster.

Spreading play wide, finding a through pass or unleashing a rocket from range are all within his armoury when in attack mode.

Out of possession, he’s certainly forward in the tackle, though this often leads to him committing a lot of sometimes unnecessary fouls, which can be frustrating to watch.

It’s more than just technical ability which makes him an attractive summer target, however.

Demirbay’s game also benefits from clear intelligence and use of space; he might start centrally, but he is very quick to look to the channels and give his team an out-ball.

Often he’ll take the initiative to surge down the left, either on the overlap or creating an overload, from where he can swing over a cross from deep or else set away a team-mate through the middle.

Hard-working, good in both halves of the pitch and with the odd highlight-reel moment: it’s not hard to see why many managers would love to add him to their team.

ESPN wrote this one about a month ago:

Kerem Demirbay -- Hoffenheim

Despite being hampered by injuries, Demirbay has played his part in Hoffenheim chasing another top-four Bundesliga finish. He has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the past year, but will need to prove his fitness before a move materialises.

Playing style

A left-footed attacking midfielder, Demirbay displays impressive technical quality in the final third. Often looking to exchange short, sharp passes with teammates, he is adept at finding pockets of space and opening up his body to receive the ball.

The 24-year-old is composed in possession, unlocking opposition defences with precision through-balls and dangerous set-piece deliveries.

Demirbay is also a confident dribbler, twisting his way out of tight situations and driving towards the box to unleash powerful shots at goal.

Form

Demirbay has been eased back in by Julian Nagelsmann after missing two months with an ankle problem, but he is now set to miss the rest of the season owing to a recurrence of the injury against Hannover.

Before his substitution in the second half, the Germany international demonstrated his quality on the ball, creating several chances and setting up Andrej Kramaric's second strike from a corner.

He has been a key player for Hoffenheim since joining in 2016, contributing six goals and eight assists last season as Nagelsmann's side remained unbeaten until the end of January and reached the Champions League qualifying rounds for the first time.

Where would he fit in?

Tottenham have been credited with an interest in Demirbay, and it's easy to see how he would slot into Mauricio Pochettino's midfield.

His set-piece quality would be a significant asset, with Arsenal and Liverpool also tracking the £28m-rated midfielder.
