Feel for the lad. He seemed desperate to impress for us. Just when he was getting back to full fitness he gets a set back like this.

Why it would need surgery if nothing broken?

Depending on the severity of the dislocation the soft tissue and tendons around the joint can be severely stretched or torn. Surgery is often required to "tighten" everything up and prevent the shoulder from becoming a liability.

Many athletes initially choose to forego surgery and use physical therapy to strengthen and tighten the area, but will be extremely prone to re-injury or subluxation.

I think it may be time to move on, we should go all in for Chillwell if we get back in the CL through Europa.

Shame for the lad. Basically spent his whole Arsenal career getting fit. Only to get injured.

Walcott had that same problem and the surgery solved it. Tierney probably should have done it when he did the other one in the summer.

You assured me he wasn't injury prone...
His main problem has been the groin/hip problem which he had surgery to correct.

This was a freak injury you see the way his shoulder/arm jammed up. He hasnt had shoulder problems in the past, not sure where the rumour came from that he has.

It is a small worry that he has another injury but only a small one as they are not in any way shape or form connected.
