With Tierney hopefully we force Newcastle to give us something close to 40M. Newcastle still can't spend freely in market because they unlike man city there ffp now

man football is enough sport for us just go to street and play it they'll laugh at you there if your kid play golf!

You'd be mocked to death here

Football is the only sport in Saudi Arabia that can be viewed as more than a sport. A National Institution as it were such is the passion for it.

Newcastle aren't wrong having issue spending big on him and he miss majority of season. Not sure they'll give us 40M if transfer happen both team will settle around 30M or maybe bit less knowing us suck at selling

If they have genuine ffp issues the Saudi/Newcastle PIF sports washing slush fund have just bought 4 clubs in Saudi. They can probably sign any player to one of those clubs & then sell or loan to the Toon at a favourable rate if they wish.
Failing that I'm sure they can find extra 'sponsorship' 🙄

No one knows what their budget it. £75 - £150 mil is a pretty big gap from just two sources.

Wouldn't believe that 75 personally. Just a little over what they paid for Isak with CL and a new shirt sponsor?

I imagine with the CL their budget has gone up by an extra 20m on that alone. On top of that there will be extras from sponsorship and match day revenue. Potentially 30 to 40m all in - and that's before looking at what they actually do whilst there.

Newcastle, like most clubs, will be aware that next season's CL prize money is significantly higher. Do they speculate to accumulate? They could carry a loss forward and if they do well this season and qualify again their prize money will be higher as their coefficient ranking increases (that's before factoring in the default higher prize money due to the expanded CL from 24/25)

It's understandable their alleged budget varies.

We give them Willock for a discount price. He was always going to become a £40m player. They wouldn’t be a PL club let alone a CL one if we didn’t loan them him either.

They owe us one.

I think they've spent over £250m in the last two seasons, so there will be an element of balancing the books based on previous transfer activity. You could argue they did the speculating to get into this spot and now they need a period of consolidation if they're taking ffp seriously.
