Don't think anyone in the PL will want him. He's never fit.

With his wages, and his injury problems, you'd be fortunate to get a fee really...Very risky proposition for Celtic.

It's a pity he's been so unlucky with injuries. He seems a good egg.

I understand them not going mad & doing a Rangers ffs but surely they could push the boat out a bit for an old fav?
25m of that £100m in the bank was from the sale of KT.

Give us £5m of it back & welcome the boy home😁

You've got to be careful when fans say there's £100m in the bank. The reality is it's never like that, the accounts could be a snapshot from when they are cash rich when season ticket money comes in, competion money etc.

This is a section from the accounts.

In terms of funding and liquidity, our year end cash, net of bank borrowings, was £72.3m (2022: £30.2m). The increase this year was principally due to the translation into cash of the strong trading environment and the typically non-recurring items mentioned previously. These reserves were used to fund the summer 2023 transfer window and will be used for settling outstanding sums due from transfers over the last two seasons, which are typically paid in instalments. This sum also contains the cash required to fund the significant investment that the Club is planning to make in developing our Barrowfield training facility. It is important to highlight that, given the increasing gap between the sums able to be earned between the Champions League and the Europa League, it is vital that we retain a cash buffer in reserve. History tells us that we will not always qualify for the Champions League and the benefit of holding cash reserves affords us the optionality of managing through seasons where we participate in the Europa League with the ability to retain our squad as opposed to selling key players to bridge the income shortfall between both competitions. The Financial sustainability rules are also a key feature of UEFA licencing and we need to be cognisant of running our club accordingly.

I don't get clubs like these. No one likes to see clubs operate beyond their means and put their future in jeopardy but what is the point of existing as a football team if all you seem to care about is making a profit.

Last year Celtic made £40m profit. They made a profit in 7 of the last 8 years, the only exception being the covid year. Surely you can use a few million of the money hoarded in the bank to bring the prodigal son home.
Celtic could have 150m plus in the bank meanwhile the quality on the park declines, season books rise and the club put the hand out for Champions League packages. It is extreme austerity and it is far from popular.

The only way KT comes back to Celtic is on loan or for a silly fee (2-5m with significantly reduced wages of around 30k per week).

They also not having to keep money back for the class action against the club that's ongoing?

I wouldn’t. He looks good in that league, but even watching the Old Firm he just screams “big fish small pond”

He’s not even as good as Fabio Vieira in my opinion.
I know what you mean. O'Riley could certainly be another Odsonne Edouard (who I also rated very highly). However, there is that chance he becomes a VVD! Only time will tell.

As for Vieira being the better player, I just don't see that. Matt wouldn't be any worse than Fabio here, and Fabio won't do any better in the SPL.

Celtic can do one, if they really wanted KT back they could afford to splash out a little on his wages / fee.

They won't though.

You can't really blame him if he wants to stick to his current contract. With his injuries, a long career is not a given.

Arsenal Quotes

I want a fan to wake up in the morning and say, “Arsenal are playing today, I’m going to have a good time.” That guy starts his day off by thinking that something good is going to happen to him. And to do that, big clubs like Arsenal have to have the ambition to play spectacularly. Of shared happiness.
