Not as simple as that.Should have kept him and binned off Calafiore. Both have a similar injury record.
“Kieran Tierney has bid £784”
Am I supposed to be impressed by him tucking his shirt in or bringing a Tesco bag to work? Sorry I have higher standards.
Probably prefers Poundland more. Good luck KT and i wish you every success with your boyhood club unless it against KilmarnockDo you prefer Waitrose?
I’d get him being a cult hero if he had some sort of personality or banter like Jenkinson or Ramsdale, but this guy is boring as well as being useless.
If that was the case he wouldn’t be taking the easy route back to Celtic. He’s only useless in this system. He’s a proper classic fulback and will thrive again when he’s used as such.
None of you even know this just assuming. He used a Tesco bag once? So did Lacazette no one cares. He’s a cult hero because he’s a regular hard working lad who doesn’t care about the glamour of being a pro footballer. And that’s rare in this day and age.
He is going back to his boyhood club clearly for many reasons. what is clear is that you are unable to see what he has offered because you dislike him clearly. If that was the case he wouldn’t be taking the easy route back to Celtic.

Main reason being that he’s just not that good and Celtic is his level. He is going back to his boyhood club clearly for many reasons. what is clear is that you are unable to see what he has offered because you dislike him clearly.
If he was excellent he wouldn’t have ended up like 8th choice in his own position regardless of how Arteta plays.I expect he’s going back now because it’s clear injuries are an issue and that he’s realised he’s probably not going to have a very long career. It’s not about his ability, which is excellent.
Didn’t realise til I watched it again recently that Arnie’s in it. Doesn’t speak though. The Long Goodbye is a great film tbf

If you said you didn't like him because you thought the whole working class Tesco bags stuff was nonsense then I'd take that opinion. But Tierney was one of our key players in the early Arteta years. He helped Arteta win his only major piece of silverware and was for a long time our most creative player and near nailed on to be made captain. Unfortunately a major injury coincided with us going on a run of games that saw us miss out on CL qualification. At the time an equivalent to Saliba being injured and us missing out on the league. Unlike Saliba, Tierney had a terrible injury record and Arteta decided to move on.I’d get him being a cult hero if he had some sort of personality or banter like Jenkinson or Ramsdale, but this guy is boring as well as being useless.
Saying he was one of our key players in some of the most awful years as an Arsenal fan isn’t impressive. We were finishing 8th and 5th back then wasn’t until we dropped him for Zinchenko that we became a title challenging team.If you said you didn't like him because you thought the whole working class Tesco bags stuff was nonsense then I'd take that opinion. His injury record derailed his Arsenal career, not his talent or ability or personality - which oddly are the reasons his Arsenal career was extended and he saw as many minutes as he did this season. It's pure revisionism to say when he played he was useless.
When Tierney was playing for us regularly we were a team finishing 5-8th once we dropped him became a title challenging side.Injuries aside, most people judge players on how they play and their cost. Tierney on a £100k a week, same as Tomi. He always delivers a quality left back performance. And has been left out of the team for a long time without complaining. Not surprising the fans like him.
Havertz is on nearly 3 times that and he definitely doesn’t play like our most highly paid player. As a main striker he’s scored 9 goals and missed many howlers. At times he looks awkward on the ball too.
I hope he comes good.
Those two players certainly coincided with those finishing positions bro, you’re right. But I don’t think they’re the cause. Tierney has always played well when I’ve seen him. He was superb in the FA Cup final, Arteta’s only trophy. He’s just a very good standard full back but that’s not what Arteta wants. He’s into multi positional players instead of specialists. When Tierney was playing for us regularly we were a team finishing 5-8th once we dropped him became a title challenging side.
He’s never actually been good for Arsenal just gets the ‘right type of lad’ tax like Ramsdale and Rice. I could go deeper into this but AM isn’t ready for this.
Havertz on the other hand got us to the highest points tally since the invincibles being our top scorer in his first season. Don’t really care about their wages tbh.
