Who is a player like Mudryk but not **** like Mudryk, so we can buy in the January window?

- Aged 18-23
- Comes from a relatively obscure league so we can bully them into selling.
- Pacey
- Not Martinelli or Havertz

Arsenal Forum scouting crew, I have work for you.

Brother I’m 100% on Saibari train. I would do anything to get him in January. People go on about striker and winger. But the technical level of this team in midfield outside of ode is poverty. Another technical midfielder is the most critical thing for us
You're people. I remember just a few weeks ago you arguing with me about how badly we needed a striker over a winger.

Apart from Gabby Jesus, what other 1st team forward has Arteta signed for big money? I can't think of anyone?

We've neglected the attack for so long. We'd be walking this league if we had another top quality forward.
He only been here 5 years. How many strikers could he sign. There are no good strikers in the world

Well more than one would be nice. Our attack has been severely neglected.

Jesus, Tross & a desperate loan for Sterling. Not great.

*Havertz was signed as a midfielder so not counting him.

Havertz signed as a midfielder which results in another failed signing for Teta. Lets be realistic he is in the Team because our other attackers are even worse.

Wondering whether we do a Gyokeres now or wait for an Isak in the summer.

On rewatch of the Sporting CP game I will say that Gyokeres played well, and looked a threat despite the double marking.

Or perhaps we pull a madness and get in a six month Osimhen loan ;)

Isak's injury record scares me considering he'd cost a bomb. Osimhen looks the most logical signing but question marks over his demands would be a deal breaker.

Club has to be creative in January, we can't keep the 'lets do it in the summer' stance. Our season will only go from bad to worse, if anything happens to Saka or Ode.

If we want to sign a striker, I'd go in for Sesko again.

Isak and Osimhen are both injury prone and too expensive and Gyökeres' ability to perform in tight spaces is questionable. Not much of a link up game, either. Contrary to the opinion of some here, a pure goalscorer who does nothing else won't fix our attack.

Sesko has upside as a goalscorer, target man, and link-up player, so he makes sense.

And I think his playing time will be "guaranteed" with the option we have in the front. That was his biggest concern.

Id take Mitoma in a heartbeat

Can actually beat his man and quite regularly at that, not overly predictable, very intelligent on and off the ball, he would make our left side much more threatening i feel

Brighton is stacked upfront, we should test their resolve this January
Mitoma is not a starting LW for a team who wins the league and maybe CL. I like him but it’s a waste of time signing him imo.

Agreed, I thought we would be past this by now.

I don't know anything about hombre you posted but good scouting is good scouting, plus we signed Havertz from the prem which means all bets are off and prem snobbery in the bin.
These two posts need to be stickied as they have murdered the "lol other league players" argument.

Lets be honest anyway, he will literally never have to play against the best CB pair in the world if he joined us

Given how the summer panned out and what we know now, starting to wish we really made an effort for Lookman in that window.

Given how summer panned out I think we can effectively close the transfer forum for January...

Calafiori had one career threatening injury which led to subsequent issues, but over the the 18 months before we signed him he barely missed a game, despite playing more often and at a higher level than previously

The premier league is more demanding on the body than Serie A. They should have learned their lesson by looking at Tomiyasu

Havertz being off form definitely facilitates a striker transfer on both fronts. We're more likely to explore it, the player is more likely to join.
