I guess he’s done well to get a pay rise and he may still move to a mega club down the line, but certainly my impression is Williams is just a difficult player to deal with. A hassle, given he hasn’t even achieved that much. Some players don’t do themselves any favours.

he doesn't want to stay in PL he want to go aboard i think he'll end up in Barcelona now Williams deal not happened.
We have already discussed how Williams refused to go to Barcelona because they couldn't guarantee him that he will be registered,
Knowing this, why would any other player accept that risk?

It’s beyond mental when you think about it. A football club spending 58 million on player and paying him 10 million a year can’t guarantee a player he will be registered

I thought the main issue was Bilbao were demanding the 50m clause was paid in full and not installments because they didn't want to sell. Rashford would be a loan and comparatively low cost

La Liga doesn't want that they become one club league, like Bundesliga with Bayern and Ligue 1 with PSG.
Therefore they gave special treatment to Barcelona, they have allowed them to register Olmo and according to La Liga ruled he couldn't have been registered.
They have found certain technicality and Olmo was registered.
Registering N. Williams was too much, Bilbao president came to La Liga headquarters demanding explanation.
So they gave up.

No, the main issue was as I wrote.
Knowing Barcelona situation, N. Williams wanted guarantee that he will be registered to play.
Bacelona couldn't guarantee that he will be registered, therefore he rejected the transfer.

What are you on about, La Liga are very publicly beefing Barcelona. Tebas tried everything to prevent them from registering Olmo.

Arsenal Quotes

I believe one of the best things about managing people is that we can influence lives in a positive way. That’s basically what a manager is about. When I can do that, I am very happy.
