I honestly think that is the key matchup. It is a nightmare for Arnold because Martinelli will not stop running at him. I think Klopp might bench him though and make a tactical change because it is such a bad mismatch.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter.

Whomever Klopp has at RB will be pinned back all game as the threat of Martinelli marauding past them toward goal is a prospect Liverpool can't afford.

He actually reminds me of peak Di Maria, very agile, great ball control, creative with sh1t loads of assists every season. He and Jesus are key to unlock teams that sit back and try to break our rhythm.

18 goal contributions in 27 games, that's really good. It's mental when you take into account the transfer fee. Averages about 70 minutes per game as well, so that's 18 goal contributions in the minutes of 21 games.

Could potentially have 3 players on double figures with assists in Saka, Ødegaard and Tossard.

Potentially 4 players on double figures with goals in Martinelli, Saka, Ødegaard and Jesus.

Whilst Xhaka has a respectable 5 goals and 5 assists.

Impressive that we aren't heavily reallying on one or two players for attacking output like other teams.

Not so sure, could see him operating too similarly to the LW. Also defensively won't be very good. Think he'd work in place of Ødegaard, but not with Ødegaard and Partey.

He's averaging an assist every 78 minutes for us. A couple of them against Fulham were maybe slightly fortunate. But I think he's our best player at accurately finding a teammate with his cut backs and crosses. That makes him an ideal winger for Tetaball given the tactical focus on that method of delivery
