I wouldn’t have accepted it weeks ago and wouldn’t accept it now. Even 50m.

Selling Trossard says goodbye to any chance of the PL title imo. We have gutted our attack enough, now you want to take away a guaranteed 10+ PL goals and 20 goals a season? No.

I think there would have been a discussion to be had a few weeks ago.

We need a level raiser out there on the left, which means one of Martinelli/Trossard would have to make way. He’s also getting on a bit and it’s good money.

Ridiculous timing now though.

Who though? I don’t feel like there were any level raisers available.

What if he pushes to leave? He’s already disgruntled and he’s been a problem at previous clubs when he wants out.

I’d be inclined to take anything above £40M. And I’ll tell you as to why.

Trossards contract runs until 2026 summer, so under 2 years left and Arsenal always said they’d decide on futures around this point.

He pretty much has the same birthday as Sterling, both 30 in December.

I don’t think he’s very good when he starts for us, very good off the bench but he clearly doesn’t want that.

*i think* we can cope with Sterling, Martinelli and Jesus until January.

good time for Edu to take that short holiday to monaco and not pick up the phone for a few days. Would imagine trossard could triple or quadruple his salary, at 29, he could be open to it. We’d be stupid to risk being short in attack now.

They’ll reject it out of hand, 100%.

Of course if Leo is genuinely pissed with his role and fancies cashing in, who knows.

Last year they tried this with Gabriel and I know for a fact that it caused an issue - his being a quite tricky character in the group.

Arsenal Quotes

An Arsenal fan, when you finish fourth, will say, “Hey, we’ve been in the top four for twenty years. We want to win the league!”. They don’t care that Manchester City or Chelsea have spent 300 or 400 million euros. They just want to beat them.
But if you finish fifteenth two years running, they will be happy if you finish fourth after that.
