We need a left footed left winger, not a right footer.
Won't be the case once Calafiori is back in the team. We're asking Martinelli to stay wide because the LB doesn't go forward and provide width when it's Timber, Kiwior, or Zinchenko. Though I think Timber has potential to become apt at it over time. Cala does go forward so it'll be more like the White-Saka dynamic. Same with the LCM spot, if Merino can make that spot his (or we sign someone else) he'll drift to the left to provide width when the shape demands it also.

The use of Martinelli as a stay wide winger is a misuse, we shouldn't be planning based on that. And there aren't really any elite left-footed LWs anymore, everyone inverts to be goal scoring threats.

Mikel… Is this real?

Just from the way the commentator on the Youtube stream kept pronouncing his name is enough to make it a no from me.

They you factor in his form, age and another former City player and it's just a hell no.

It would be it for me if I watch some rival sign Kvara and we rock up with this guy nearing 30 with one good knee as the solution to our biggest problem position.

Would that make you Arteta out?

It would make me question the entire direction of the club, not just the manager.
Yeah it’s false economy as he’s free. But he’s on 20 million a year and then signing on fee. You would think someone would veto it if Arteta wants him. Otherwise as you say our setup is questionable

Nobody at our club should be looking at Leroy Sane as a solution to our problems in 2024 or 2025. Stan or Josh should kill something like that if anyone is stupid enough to suggest it to them. I would be concerned from the very top of the club if that was allowed to materialize.

He is trash has been for years. If this new age bozo really wants to sign him we need a new manager before January

This would be like the Jesus, Sterling signings. Anybody who knows anything about football would be against it but knowing how AM works there will be a que of people dancing around acting like we're signing some superstar whilst everyone else laughs at us

Why is he even interested in Sane, does Mik even watch him play? If you Watch Sane play 10 or 20 times recently for Bayern and think he will kill it in Pl then you can’t rate footballers at all. Mik is a bozo who can’t rate a footballer why is he involved at all? Total clown. As you said this a Jesus, Zinny, Kai buy it’s screaming disaster
