A free transfer 29yo of Sane's level on a 2+1 deal would be good squad planning IMO. He's an elite player and is better dribbler than anyone we have. We clearly need a range of players who can play on the wing. Sane can play on both wings

He’s not elite any more and doesn’t have the stamina to get up and down the touchline. What happened to our strategy of 2 seasons ago of buying young, hungry players with experience and leadership potential?

Would just be Sterling all over again, i.e. a stop gap who is past his prime and doesn't have the same hunger because he's already done it with City multiple times. To add on top of that he's injury prone.
