I feel for Casemiro. At Madrid, you got Kroos and Madrid taking all the pressure, you can have space to play simple passes.

Now at United they expect him to be their Xavi with Bruno scampering around the penalty box and Mainoo who is just undercooked also?

He's rushed at every opportunity so he just plays these first time Hollywood passes under pressure, he can't handle it at all.

I mean it's the fastest most physical league in the world and he's 32 and out of shape. At 29 he performed pretty well but the physical decline was always going to happen unless he was a consummate pro. Yes at Real, he simply had to cover the back 4 and let Kroos and Modric take up the creative burden. So there is that too. It was a very stupid signing, given that drop off looked odds on to happen. Let's take Real's 29yo water carrier for big bucks, what could go wrong?

But it was also hilarious because United fans were claiming 12 months ago that Casemiro was better than Rice. It wasn't long ago they were rating Sancho over Saka too.

Looks like their Saka was Greenwood. Absolutely amazing finisher on both feet, he will destroy Ligue 1.

Big name players move to Man Utd for an easy life these days.

The ownership hadn't changed anything, they're still a shockingly run football club on most levels.

I think Arteta's rise buys managers like Ten Haag more time than would have been the case a few years back. Don't think he's got it in him, no matter the time or money though.

I think that's a good observation about why Ten Hag might getting more time.

I also think they need a guinea pig for their new managerial structure with the arrival of Dan Ashworth. I think it suits them to iron out what that structure is with an existing manager, with a fine-tuned version coming at the benefit of the next manager.

Maybe a bit but he would have been sacked if they could have got a good replacement. No one wants the job because of the poor squad, the unrealistically high expectations and the dressing room controlling the board and manager.

So Anthony is leaving united €100 million spent on him. No one bats an eyelid at ETH. We still have the media and people questioning if Rice is a €100 million player🙄

I know the wheels kinda fell off his last few months at Brighton, but I was a bit fearful of United going for De Zerbi.

He would have probably shipped out 60% of that squad and done a proper overhaul over 2-3 windows.

These players they have signed are more of the same Ten Hag counter merchants.

The funny thing is that Ten Hag doesnt even seem to embrace the counter attacking quality they have. Either that or he’s incapable of getting that out of a squad tailor made for those kinds of tactics.

Even though they lack a lot of quality I think they could be much more of a threat than they currently are..

De Zerbi would have been like Emery here. Good coach getting swallowed up by a big club.

That place is a black hole for previously successful managers.

I don't think De Zerbi is in charge of Brighton's recruitment/transfers mate.

De Zerbi kinda **** the bed when Liverpool was considering him among others. Didn’t handle the media well.

He doesn’t seem to have the aura for a big club.
