Wait what? I thought he was some 17 year old from the academy.

Ngl ignorance if true. You thought he was 16 when he scored the winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final last season? Bro was in the squad when we had Cavani about.

He had an incredible loan spell for Sunderland and scored the winner against AC Milan in the Europa League debut for us.

As far as I can see they’re exactly the same now as under Ten Hag and all the ones before that. They produce occasional performances in big games. They grab 3 points late on. But they’re fundamentally sh*t.

I never thought he wasn't from your youth. I see in Flashscore that you got him from Atalanta.

Having said that, was that "tradition" of always having a player with origins from United youth in starting lineup broken earlier, or it happened during the Newcastle match?

I suppose it’s because he was signed, played some U21 football for us and was loaned out to Rangers, then Sunderland then frozen out by Ten Hag. So he’s a bit of a late bloomer, kind of reminds me of Mahrez in style.

It’s a match day squad tradition rather than lineup since 1937, so maybe not as impressive as you think.

Still exists, Mainoo, Collyer, Kukonki and Rashford were on the bench that game I think. Garnacho too who I count as we won the youth cup thanks to him that season.
