Their window reminds me a bit of our 18/19 window under Emery.

A washed Bundesliga CB, Uruguayan carthorse and a few other random signings.

The difference is a lot of Arsenal fans at the time were underwhelmed, whereas these guys were making it out they had a Madrid 2009 window.

@A_G what did you think abouy our 18/19 window? Be honest!

There is 25 players in Uniteds senior squad (i exclude a few youngsters that wont play much). 15 of them was signed by ETH. Of the 10 he did not sign, he has extended 6 players and promoted one. So this is almost 100% his squad. Thats why Goldbridge looks like a clown when he blames the players.

ETH or no ETH, it won't matter. Like I said last season. The rot has set in too deep at that club. After 11 years of post-Ferguson and 5 managers and no one succeeded. At this point no matter who they bring in they will inevitably fail.

Please bring in Southgate though, that would be hilarious.

Bringing in Ugarte, De Ligt, having Mainoo, Rashford, Bruno completely forces you to be a low block counter merchant side, no way you can play an expansive game as there is no pace whatsoever there.

They should have gone for Onana, Branthwaite, Solanke, would have cost 200m but at least you have the focal points to get the best out of your squad.

Just Solanke alone would have converted 3-4 of Zirkzee stupid toe poke attempts, Onana would have covered for Mainoo lack of physicality and pace.

Ratcliffe wanted him replaced in the summer, but couldn't find anyone. I suspect they might be driven into a Desperate Dan managerial signing.

The problems stick much deeper than just the manager. It is everything from the infrastructure of the club, transfer strategy, ownership and sense of entitlement.

At present, it's a managerial graveyard.

United is currently the Club where both Manager and player careers go to die.

Arsenal Quotes

I was receiving offers from many other clubs and declining them all, even the most tempting ones. Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG contacted me, Bayern, France, England...I am happy to have been able to say no to more glory, more money, and to have been guided only by the idea of loyally serving the club. I had knitted myself a soul in Red and White.
