Some cringey ass posts above yours. Just the usual posters wanting to have another go at Arteta and arsenal, glad this post brought the thread back.

United are awful, I’m glad they’re sneaking wins in the league now as ETH was awfully close to getting sacked. This buys him more time, and with him at the helm, they have no chance of doing anything. Granted, even with him not at the helm they’re pretty much dusted with that awful squad building.

I said this on October 15th:

Now - the thing I don't like about United, Neville and their fans is, they'll complain, rightly, about all the things that are wrong with their club.

And then they win 3 games in a row...

Suddenly, they're challengers, they're back, all those misfit toys they call a squad are on the verge of greatness, and clouds are gone and the sun is shining.

I can see from this thread that 3 people who I have on ignore are causing a back and forth that frankly doesn’t make any sense. It’ll play out as it always does.

I can’t imagine being a fan of a club and having to caveat any and all progress because you have a dislike for someone involved. But frankly it’s expected. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I understand why our fanbase has the reputation it does - we truly are one of if not the worst collection of fans going. I love Arsenal to death and have done since my first game at Highbury at 10 years old, but I maintain - I don’t like Arsenal fans. Something about our low period has bred in many of us a weakness and a victim mentality that we can’t shake. The club and the current squad has shaken off the brittle “can’t handle a rainy day in Stoke” tag, but as a fanbase we haven’t. We’re whiners, complainers, bitter and annoying. The only thing we’re good for is to help clicks and engagement for social media and digital platforms, which is why official accounts for things like the CL or Prem post us a lot (good and bad) because they know if anybody is gonna take the bait, whether that’s flood the post with likes or flood the post with replies, it’s Arsenal fans.

That image of Wenger at Old Trafford standing on the dugout with his arms out like “where do you want me to go?! What do you want me to do?!” should be the header on this forum. Because that has become our overall collective personality as a fanbase.

Again. Love the club. Actually really like the regular matchday goers and the older, level headed fans. Outside of that, cannot stand us.

Mate we're absolutely nothing special, every fanbase is chock full of dickheads. It's not the club that lures them, it's the sport.

Farzad, shame on you. If you were a United apologist back in Fergie's days, I would get it. They were champions after all. But to twerk for this United. This laughing stock that even United fans can't bring themselves to hype. You're clearly a WUM or a United fan or both. In the words of Didier Drogba, you're an absolute disgrace.

Trust me the feelings mutual. The amount of times I've had to read double standards, covert racism and just pure hatred for players on here, I've been very critical of the fanbase long before you've been on here.

For different reasons though, a lot of you just take criticism of Arteta or your select favourite players to heart and think that's a solid reason to call a fanbase bad. Crying because not everybody agrees.

You guys get upset and bring up Wenger in a negative light without fail too and have the nerve to call yourselves fans. I read these pathetic posts with the same people clapping and saying "yeah well said" and it's all cringe.

For those who don't like differing opinions, just don't log in. This match day tripe as if those who go to the stadium are more qualified to have an opinion needs to get in the bin too.

Just so much bullshit in here and chest thumping over nothing.

"b-but why can't I laugh at Utd?!" who's stopping you am I the police?? I might think you're full of sh*t but who cares and why does that matter?
There's different ways to laugh at them anyway, it's f*ck United forever and under any circumstances.

Rashford gets sent off and they lose against a Finnish amateur club - piss on them and ETH all you want. You just look ridiculous if that means you have to start drawing comparisons when our gaffer was even worse at the same point in time at their respective clubs.

I agree with you somewhat, but everything has its gold standard.

Many clubs played passing, tiki taka football - Barca did it best
Lots of artists put on a show - Beyonce might do it better than anyone
Not all football fans are racist, but some clubs have large contingents - nobody does that better than Chelsea
Football fans (especially online) can be d***heads - Arsenal fans are the tip of that spear

We can not win league being 5th in league in chance creation. Our finishers are not as clinical as Lfc or City.

Tbh Ive found us very boring this season. But at least we are defensively good. Utds defence this year is like swiss cheese. Last season it was probably their biggest strength. ETH seems to have pissed off Varane, the angry oompa lompa got that karmic justice long term injury, and Onana looks crap at actual goalkeeping. Which leaves them with Maguire, Lindelof and Evans. Thats legit a lower table defence, they are all bad. Maguire probably the least bad. Lindelof is the biggest fraud defender in the leauge I swear. He doesnt make blantant howlers like maguire does but he hides all the time and shirks his duty, hes like the Kai Havertz of centre backs.
