Will it though? He would get absolutely eaten alive in the prem. He’s not nearly ready. It wouldn’t be the embellishment you think it is.
Tbh we have no clue. If he gets chance in the pl it means the coaches at united and manager think he can contribute. Not like he be the youngest pl player ever.

He’s never even played u21 and you’re expecting him to ball out in the prem 😭

We do know. We definitely know. He ain’t ready to be backup striker at a prem club. If that’s genuinely what was offered then that is absolutely wild.

I actually rate Van Nistlerooy and think he’ll coach him well but he’s not ready for this level.

Yoro, Zirkzee, Ugarte, Mazraoui, Fofana/Zubimendi, De Ligt.

Solid signings, to kickstart their attempts to return back to the top. They'll be better next season for sure.
I actually think sticking with their manager will also help in this regard. It is popular to cry for managerial change, but for United, that has not really been the problem. Their problem has more been their recruitment.

To be fair to Arteta a bit, it's so difficult to give youngsters a proper chance when fighting for the league title.

Wenger was brilliant for it from the Emirates on but that's when we were only going for Top Four, so more mistakes were allowed and it was easier for young players to develop.

During the first half of his tenure here at Highbury, the only teens that really cemented themselves for us in those first 11 years were...Anelka, Cole and Fabregas...and they were 3 elite talents that not every youngster is gonna be, if even 1 of our current youngsters is half that good we will be flying!

Mikel has helped develop Saka and Martinelli in starters here, Saliba too (though that felt a bit lucky to be honest) and the likes of Ødegaard and Gabriel were only 21 when bought...he has done stuff with the youngsters, Nwaneri looks very and promising and I back Mikel to play him this season quite a bit.

But just like Wenger when he was fighting prime Fergie's United, we don't really have that luxury of young players making mistakes now.

There is absolutely no path to the first team at Arsenal for him. I think thats more important than the money.

Rubbish. Equally little path at United. They are in a win now mode every year despite their recent failures. They'll have little patience with him.

Good luck to Obi-Martin, he made his decision for his career and you have to respect that.

As for whether United is the better place for his development, I guess we'll see. He may get more chances in the first team yes, but will his development be better is what he should really ask himself.

Just because you play in the first team doesnt automatically mean its better. Like @ASAP Berg says you see it with Kobbie, gets the chances yes but there isnt enough tactical development and direction.

Right now, with Ten Hag in charge, I dont see him improving much. I think his development will come more from their youth structures, where Van Nistelrooy has played a big role in mapping out to him.
Aye.. I can wait two years before calling him wänk 😊
