John Radford’s son
Diallo out for the season is a huge blow for them. They might even get sucked into the relegation fight as they struggle to score goals yet concede at least 1 or 2 every game.

Hope he has a speedy recovery, he is a quality player to watch on his day

Eesh, Diallo was basically their only bright spark. They’re gonna be playing some absolutely horrendous football in the coming weeks.

Mainoo is also out for weeks and Ugarte is injured for at least tottenham. Amorim will have to bring out uncle Casemiro who's been frozen out since interim amorim joined the club. Honestly can't wait for that
game today between those 2 broken clubs.

Because sheep are plentiful here (and the red meat of choice) we have a lot of terms for them.

In this case, the best term to describe those 2 garbage clubs are:

المتردي والنطيحة which translates to "The Fallen & The Lame" quite apt I should think seeing as United is the former & Sp**s, battered mercilessly like an outcast ram by the heard, is certainly the latter

Erik ten Hag doesn't get enough credit for putting them in the sh*tter before Amorim arrived & permanently fixed their position.

Thank you, Erik ten Hag

Best part is there doesn't seem to be much light at the end of the tunnel with ineos cost cutting, them paying off massive interest payments on their debt and maybe no european football money next year. And most of their team being ****.

Thier squad is actually depressing to look at even if everyone fit.

They just should build team around Yoro Amad and Mainoo and hope for the best.

Hojlund and Zirzkee look waste of 120M they spent on them.

I keep hearing pundits saying they will come good once Amorin gets his players but I get what they are seeing. I haven't seen a significant improvement that is being let down by a few square pegs in round holes.

Will they even be able to afford to build his team with their financial issues?

Good questions. Conte is the only manager who has made that system work in England and it required both much more intelligent investment into an already better squad that what United have, Conte was a better manager and that squad and system flamed out very quickly.

As much revenue as they generate, they have made so many big money blunders in recent years that I'm not sure they can afford to build the kind of squad it would take.

Beyond that, I'm not sure how many players with ambition and the ability to come in and hit the ground running are looking at a team with no European football, a leaky stadium and antiquated training ground and a total crisis of identity and signing there. It could be very tough for them. Letting 7 Hag spend all that money has really crippled them for the foreseeable future.

Tuchel also played a similar system with Thiago Silva at the heart of a back 3 with Kante and Jorginho as the central midfield.

I think Amorim is a top manager, but he is (so far) a system manager and requires the right players, no doubt about that. I said when he took over than Man Utd are about as poorly constructed for his style as you could possibly be and that'd be a real struggle early on, so I personally won't be judging him before he at least has a season or two with some backing.

We can discuss whether hiring someone like Amorim was the right thing of course, but this guy was schooling big European sides with this system when he had players who fit the thing.
