I predict United will get 6 points from the remainder of their matches this season 😳

What are everyone else's predictions?

Tuchel also played a similar system with Thiago Silva at the heart of a back 3 with Kante and Jorginho as the central midfield.

I think Amorim is a top manager, but he is (so far) a system manager and requires the right players, no doubt about that. I said when he took over than Man Utd are about as poorly constructed for his style as you could possibly be and that'd be a real struggle early on, so I personally won't be judging him before he at least has a season or two with some backing.

We can discuss whether hiring someone like Amorim was the right thing of course, but this guy was schooling big European sides with this system when he had players who fit the thing.
The issue I have with Amorim is that when you're circling the drain and you know a lot of these players aren't going to be there long term anyway, why are you not more pragmatic and less rigid? Arteta took over and won the FA Cup playing a 5 back because the personnel we had couldn't play the way he wanted to play. If he had been married to trying to play his system with a bunch of players who don't suit it, we win nothing that season and probably finish even lower.

I just feel that the first thing you do is try to add some stability and make yourself tough to beat. Put square pegs in square holes as it were. If you know you've got to try to find a market for some of these players to be able to afford to build team that can play your way, why would you not adapt your system to get the most out of them individually so that you increase their value vs shoehorning them into something that makes them look even worse and being less likely to be able to recoup the funds you need to rebuild?

They now have Everton at Goodison, who are actually an in form team. They'll lose that too, no question. It's just too bad the bottom three are not good enough.

They have quite a tough fixture and a few teams fighting against relegation. Those teams always gives extra effort in relegation games.

We used to laugh that season when they were 6th and they'd win a few games and still be 6th. They'd kill for that now. It's tremendous seeing them this far down the league. Saddled with Brexit Jim.

The only unfortunate thing is that there's worse teams than them and they'll stay up. The Everton syndrome it should be called - as it's usually them in that position.

Said it at the time he joined them. This move made absolute no sense. Yes they won the Carabo Cup but now they are stuck with him.

Maybe this is their true calling now. A plucky cup team to keep their shareholders happy with a few relegation dogfights thrown in for good measure

Kind of serves Amorim right. He ignored the evidence in front of him because he thought he was special and could do what all the other top managers couldn't

Any idiot can see that United is the problem
If it's true that Liverpool offered him the job before they offered it to Slot and he turned it down with an eye on this one, he's a generational fool.
