Not Emery's Old Pal
If it's true that Liverpool offered him the job before they offered it to Slot and he turned it down with an eye on this one, he's a generational fool.
Doesn't sound right, he embarrassed himself and went to the West Ham job interview to put pressure on Liverpool which made them reject him and he had to crawl back and apologize to Sportings afterwards. Any attempt to frame it as him rejecting them must be some massive cope from his/Utd camp.

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle because there were some articles released by the Athletic when United hired him that Liverpool had real reservations about his system working and paying the compensation. West Ham wasn't really mentioned though. It seems like there was mutual interest that just didn't amount to anything and for whatever reasons, both sides felt a desire to frame that in such a way that made them look better.

"Generational Fool" is a HELL of an epithet.

No amount of Clorox is washing away the stink of that anytime soon

I wish they would get relegated. It's such a shame that the relegation teams are so bad, because these ****s are close enough to going down.
They are definitely in relegation form
They won't go down this season but I think they're in danger for next season because they've not even got any money

Even United won't finish below the likes of Sheffield United, Burnley, Sunderland etc. They may have a fight on their hands with Leeds though!

Usually takes about 12-18 months for this story to start appearing at Utd. He’s done it in 3 months
It’s such a cycle with this club. Once the players turn on the manager that gives fans licence to start the ‘Amorim out’ talk.

New manager, players not good enough, results bad, players turn.

Crying at the amount spent on getting rid of those two. And a 12% decline in revenue due to lack of CL participation. Going to need to win the Europa to get CL for next season. Which looking at the other teams still in it isn't improbable.
