Man Utd fans are getting away with murder btw, Arsenal were memed to ****ing death in those early post-Highbury days for not winning much but everyone knew why and there was a clear plan. You still played good football with a core of kids.

Man Utd haven't even been close to winning the league in a decade now and Man Utd fans still walk around as if they're on the cusp of turning it around, and they've spent BILLIONS during that decade. They're way more of a joke than Arsenal ever was, yet don't get anywhere near the same treatment as "not serious" etc.

It took you 5 years or so to recover from parting ways with Wenger. It's been 10 years for Man Utd and they still look like they're in year 1 ffs.

Long may it continue.

They've had it good for 2 consecutive decades at the expense of almost every other team in the PL!!

About time they paid for Fergie's Faustian deal.

Exactly. That's why you've got Man U fans and then everyone else- the 'Anyone But United's (ABUs for short). I can't imagine City will ever be thought of in the same way

They're a PR project writ large and, though their honors will sadly never be stripped, they'll never have an aura of authenticity to include them as a truly great side.

United, for all the hilarity, used to be a proper big club before embracing its potential as a big-time circus act.

Don't have much doubts that those two will be solid squad players for them. That won't be enough though. Ten Hag seems to get too many transfers wrong.

Horrible brainfart from Amrabat to be so low compared to other defenders and panic kick it long. But he isn't a defender, so it's understandable.

Casemiro looks like becoming past it quite soon, which I suggested to the United fans here when they bought him. Similar buy as Varane (who is more injury-prone), very expensive with wages, but even older.

Another red card because he isn't fast anymore, and makes silly mistakes. He shouldn't have made that tackle which was so late, to leave United to play 10vs11.

I support both teams, have said so for a long time now. I "feel" West Ham more though in terms of wins and losses.

Just made that post because it hit me just how differently Man Utd get treated, both by media but also by their own fans.
We are proud to have you onboard! Now we only need @Juan Matas Beard to jump ship!

You don't sack a guy after you just got players he asked for. But Ten Hag need good run of results or the pressure will keep mounting after his top 4 finish expectations got bit bigger and deluded utd fans they probably thought they should compete for league and CL this even tho we all know they were average
Probably? Check their predictions thread on RedCafe, almost half of them had themselves as winners, the other half as runners-up.

Six losses and we're barely in October. Ole was never this bad.

He honestly wasn't, and I never rated Ole at all but that was purely in terms of them competing with Pep and Klopp they were never gonna do it with Ole. But looking at things now they'd have had a far better shot.

And I wouldn't mind the period that got Ole sacked was nowhere near as bad as how things have gotten under Ten Hag, they look a mess, don't look that threatening offensively, don't really have the midfield functioning right. Ole was getting top results with a McTominay-Fred double pivot, Dan James starting games. It was basic but he knew how to set up a side to give them a decent chance of getting results. It was the 2021 window the ****ed things up, I've no idea how much of say he got in the transfer but having to accommodate 36 year old Ronaldo who could only play CF in their system and wasn't great as a lone CF, Sancho who was best in Rashford's position and a Varane Real didn't even bother replacing messed up the foundations they had built previously.

I think ETH main issue is recruitment and going public with Sancho when he could have really done with him right now.

All the other stuff is kinda out of his control, I don't think he's as bad as he has been portrayed. He's certainly better than Ole for instance.

Dutch managers are all terrible. When was the last good one? Levels below Spanish, German and English managers.
