This is really stupid. They are just giving based on number of wins without any context. Iraola should have won. Bournemouth are never gonna win 100% of their games. So that means those managers can never win?
It's very dumb but so is everything the PL does.

Yeah league is awful, take me back to the days of Marcus Bent winning player of the month, proper glory years that
Marcus Bent won POTM in 01/02. Maybe try find a different forum if you want to ridicule that particular season as "GL0rY YeArS"

Cheers for reinforcing my point. It's almost as if a player winning POTM isn't an indicator of the quality of the league as a whole?

In the case of Maguire its further confirmation that the league is worse than before, not an indicator. We already know that the league was better before.

The only thing Maguire winning POTM confirms is that the people nominating and voting are absolutely clueless. There were so many more players who had a better month then Maguire. Maguire's bar is so low that people voted for him just because he wasn't playing like a donkey for a couple of games.

It's not always an indicator as these things are voted for by idiots. In this case however it's symptomatic - while Maguire clearly got donkey pity points ETH actually had a "good" November points wise while playing atrocious football, showing the tragic state of the league up well

It's not symptomatic of anything; Allardyce literally won the award somewhat regularly back with Bolton playing trashfire footy as well. As @BaZZe said the only thing this shows is the people who are voting for it are clueless and clearly agenda driven. Trying to extrapolate more from it is just dumb when the award has been given out to equally awful recipients countless times in the past.

Maguire winning the POTM just embarrass themselves/United more.

In deep down, everyone knows he does not deserve it; including ETH winning coach of the month.

What is the PL smoking? Only Garnacho deserves his award out of these three

It’s freaking absurd but yeah it’s basically just win-counting for a team that had a big string of games against relegation-fodder teams and predictably won them.

Plus a bit of tire-pumping for a guy who plays for England.

This is why I love Man Utd Fans:

In their minds, Villa can beat us.

But by that same token, they can beat Villa and maybe beat Liverpool too.

So by that logic, even though Arsenal are one of the best 2 teams in the league, United, sitting in 6th, are better than not just us but probably Villa and Liverpool too.

Constantly setting themselves up for disappointment.

Smart fans saw Villa beat City and thought "take them seriously because they can beat any of us", but United fans saw that and thought "if Villa can beat City, we should be able to beat Villa"

😂

They really are the most football illiterate fanbase

It's actually much worse.

They're not beating Villa, they're smashing them.

When's the last time they properly routed a team? Their 0-3 win at Goodison earlier doesn't count as Everton could've had 6 or 7 goals that day had they not been wearing snow shoes.
