I get that Bruno has had a great season, but Football Writers Player of the Year? It's not hard to stay fresh when you're 31 and only having to play once a week. There are players who have played 20 more games than he has.

He knew it wasn't Fulham because he had to stop himself self-harming when we scored 3.

Luis Enrique and Maresca right there. But yanited dna.

But they're so cheap and unwilling to make big changes. Very eager to see how their transfer window goes.

Seriously amazing this club falling into these traps yet again. We'll see how he cope next season with many competitions

He's done ridiculously well even if they are playing once a week. 84 points pace with wins over City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa and Chelsea. Sure they'll struggle to keep that up playing twice a week but he's getting 100% out of those players

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆

He done well because they fresh they got a good team already so to finish top 4 with them is embarrassing specially one game a week.

I think he deserves his chance

People keep mentioning Enrique but he under contract with psg and doesn't seem looking to leave. Maresca obviously Man city new manager that'll leave Utd with emery Iraola and Glasner can see why they sticking with Carrick

Because it’s obvious that they are fluking these results. We were battering them before the Zubi mistake otherwise that was a thumping waiting to happen, same with 115 charges fc. A lot of these results were against ten men & teams with nothing to play for whilst having a month to prepare. We literally have won more games than they'll play this season. It's another false dawn waiting to unravel around November next season as usual. Ratface can statpad as much as he wants, none of those assists matter in the slightest & they'll want him gone next season when he keeps giving the ball away trying to do his hollywood pass bs

There was talk earlier this season that he refused another contract. So sounds like he's not there for long.

Yeah they had some fluky wins where teams completely outplayed them but failed to score etc but same can be said for us some games... They're better than under Amorim but if they don't fix their defense they won't play for the title next season.

He also plays the players in the positions they're best at, working to their strengths unlike Amorim.

I think it's safe to say United have had 2 clowns in the years before Carrick.

Seems kinda crazy to me that they’re so high on Carrick. Sure he’s done a very good job as interim, with a very light schedule, but they have a chance now to appoint some of the most talented coaches in the game, and is Carrick really on that level? Probably not.

Carrick is cheap.

There is a huge advantage playing once a week. It means you can go full intensity each game. Less injuries. They have had no expectations as their season was considered a write-off already when the manager got sacked. Managed to get top 4 enjoying themselves on the pitch with zero pressure from the fans or media. They never had a 'bad' team, just very underperforming.

Next season, two games a week, 4 competitions and the fans/media pressurising them every time they drop points. And teams parking the bus against them. Then it will be very different.

It's all good with 1 game a week and no expectations. Let's see how this works without those factors next season.
