United fans are whining and saying, "Oh look at the disallowed goal. Arsenal will be mid-table without the corner rules next season," forgetting that these bastards have scored almost the same amount of corner goals as us and that without them they'd be fighting relegation again.

We score aesthetic corners like Licha's goal last night rather than rugby tackling players on the line.

Not to mention all of Fergusons European glory is based on set pieces.

Scoring two jammy **** pieces after getting destroyed by Munich and then beating Chelsea on penalties in 2008 after JT ended up making a fool of himself.

No set pieces and got de-pantsed twice by Barcelona in the final

So is it only us who sign Chelsea’s trash? That santos guy is meant to be decent no?

I was thinking they’d replicate the Mbuemo and Cunha strategy from last summer but for the midfield.

They obviously didn’t have the stomach to compete with Sp**s and City for these types of guys so I think have reverted to type, by signing guys no one else wants.

Good news for us.

I mean he couldn't even make the most average Brazil squad in modern memory over the bloated corpses of Fabinho and Casemiro and that bloke who plays in Russia(*nevermind he plays in Brazil) also got in ahead of him, so I don't think he's pulled any trees up. Put it this way, Martinelli played 8 for Brazil before him so...

Good news United aren’t serious.

Last summer was the first one where they signed legit players in Sesko, Cunha and Mbuemo.

I was thinking they’d be going for guys like Tonali, Bruno ect but they didn’t have the stomach to go for them.

Looks like it will be us and City again.

I'm wondering if the lack of CL/Europa money hurt them big last year. They could of overspent to get back in too

You can't read that much into international football though. Vieira was a back up in 1998 because the manager preferred the certainty Deschamps and Petit brought. This Santos player has had very limited minutes. The manager can't be certain on how good he is or not. And I'm not sure how good he is either. But 10 goals and 3 assists as a 21yo in ligue 1 playing from midfield isn't bad.

My point is that he's done nothing at a dysfunctional Chelsea. I understand what you're saying but it's not like he's had amazing players to beat out for game time. They were playing Reece James in midfield rather than giving him games.

I think that says more about Brazil than him, there were a lot of crowd pleasing picks.

I think Santos is a great signing but I really don't rate Ederson (coincidentally picked).

Ornstein thankfully says there is a marquee signing to come, not sure who though.

I think utd will also sign Tchoumeni.

Tchoumeni Ederson Santos Mainoo and Mount. Its good as long Tchoumeni and Mainoo stay fit for majority of season

Aren't United tightening the wages of new signings? Tchouameni is on something near £360,000 or thereabouts.

I can't imagine they'll be able to entice Tchouameni with a "You've got a guaranteed first team spot but you'll have to take a paycut to join us" pitch
