Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Aren't United tightening the wages of new signings? Tchouameni is on something near £360,000 or thereabouts.

I can't imagine they'll be able to entice Tchouameni with a "You've got a guaranteed first team spot but you'll have to take a paycut to join us" pitch
Manutd will give him big salary because they desperate

So what happens to Mainoo, Mount and Ugarte if you’re bring three in?

I've seen this saga before. We massively overrate our current players, and it ends up costing us. Mainoo is a talented player, but he isn't Iniesta. If there's genuine competition for places, he should have to earn his spot and fight (against Scott or whoever we sign). Right now, in this squad, he doesn't need to.

Ugarte would've been sold if not for his injury, but it looks like he's out for the entire 2026/27 season. And realistically, we were never able to rely on Mount anyway.

Mainoo I like though. Get he’s not Vieira or Xavi but he’s still really good.

Is Mount off or just running down the contract?

I was thinking they’d replicate the Mbuemo and Cunha strategy from last summer but for the midfield.

They obviously didn’t have the stomach to compete with Sp**s and City for these types of guys so I think have reverted to type, by signing guys no one else wants.

Good news for us.
The prem proven thing isn’t a viable strategy anymore, well it is but it’s so expensive now that I guess teams are trying other things.

I’m glad we were able to use it to get back into the top4 before the prices got silly.

Ah he's 25 already lol, still feels like he's a kid he's played far too little football. Far too inconsistent but sky high ceiling type.

Remember when @Clrnc and I were raving about him as a teenager at Valencia, he's incredibly talented but not sure he's able to fulfil his potential at this point. You could do a lot worse than him though and €40m is a bargain looking at how everyone is going for 100m these days

Yeah when I’ve seen him for Valencia he was very up and down.

Just don’t see him really hitting any big numbers with us which we need with Alvarez and Griezmann to.

Still at least it’s not Greenwood.
