Martinez United career looks dead already, mans getting violated on and off the pitch now.
Never forget some on here were actually thinking we'd sign the midget as a replacement for Gabriel

Edit: £150M for Martinez and Maguire must be the worst piece of transfer buisness in PL history.
The ones that wanted him here, like myself, wanted him as a LB and for a far cheaper price.

Glad we ended up with Zinchenko ultimately, he was my other alternative.

Can't wait to see if he will get sacked after the Pool loss or if they will trust the process

The thing is it isn't looking like a new start over there at all, and a big part of that is that nasty Ronaldo situation

This was a post from their forum not even 10 days ago.

We had long accepted our team was garbage and needed to weed out the toxic overpaid lazy players. However these lot are not ready to accept how bad and poor their team is. You go to their predictions threads even ten days ago you'll see their deluded posts predicting their top 3 or top 4 finishes

Hence why that club will never improve thankfully.

To improve you need to get rid of all the deadwood, all the lazy players then bring in young hungry players. To do that first you have to accept your team is garbage. Which they are incapable of admitting. Call Saka better than Sancho or Tierney better than Shaw and their fans will froth at the mouth. Yes we have spent a lot but we have spent that on multiple players. What United do is spend their summers chasing one or two duds worth 80 90 million, add those duds to their team and sack the manager. That's why their squad is a mish mash of players bought under completely different managers with vastly different philosophies. And the end result is a team full of lazy players on crazy wages who have no interest to play well.

EDIT

Add to my post I mean look at their posters who always say 'you only finished 10 points ahead of us in our worst ever season'

The thing is the season they had last season has been about par and been the utter norm for them since Fergie left barring a couple of years. For them to act like last season was such a low for them is hilarious enough, points wise that has been their level since 2013 barring 2 odd years.

I feel like United is a place you end up now to collect a big payday halfway through your career; it isn’t a place that develops talent anymore; and players who want medals and career growth don’t go there. They became the English Galacticos signing trendy expensive players and just throwing together unbalanced teams with a mercenary nature. The greatest success Ferguson, had was with mainly homegrown talent that was supplemented by a big signing or two each window. United doesn’t develop Giggs, Scholes, and Beckhams anymore; they buy expensive finished products to try to microwave success

Both of these are spot on.

It's a club full of rot and also a club that has forgot what made them successful.

It's a bad mix of overpaid, lazy players who are more interested in their brand than actually running on the pitch. And it won't get any better until they clean house, take a hit for a year or two, and build it back up with young hungry players. But instead they'll just try to throw more money at the problem and bring in more of the same - talented high-profile players that don't run and don't fit.

Yeah its kinda sad - if it wasn’t united. Their fans are indeed still closing their eyes to the real problem they are facing and it looks like so is their leadership. After they basically forfeited last season to give Rangnick a chance to analyze the club and come up with a real plan forward, what did they do?

✅ Signed a young up and coming manager in ETH who plays a clear and attractive style

❌ After half a season of “Rangnick is here to work on our long-term future” they rejected all his work and let him go

❌Had no clear scouting or support structure in place for Ten Hag which means after Woodward they went from buying players the manager doesn’t want to buying players the manager wants…but the manager has no experience with recruitment or an eye for talent (seriously, Overmars and the scouting did all the recruitment at Ajax, Ten Hag recommended only players he knew from previous jobs and they all turned out bad).

❌ United only let players leave who are out of contract, all the players that stunk up the place, showed no effort or have a bad attitude are still there. Their dressingroom was reportedly toxic last season but has anything been done to change that? Not really.

❌ There are players at United who anyone who’s ever watched a Ten Hag team can tell you are never going to fit his style. De Gea can’t play with his feet, AWB can’t add anything offensively, Maguire cannot play a high line, Shaw seriously lacks aggression, McTominay half the time can’t control a ball or pass it forward, Rashford is not a winger nor a striker, Ronaldo is unable to initiate the press or hold the ball up. None of these players are let go/moved on. Not even 1. Ronaldo is forced to stay, Rashford to PSG rumours are quickly stifled, why? Let them go if you are working towards the future.

So to sum up, they disregarded the guy they hired to give an honest opinion of the club, they moved no toxic players, they did nothing with deadwood or players that clearly don’t fit the new manager’s style, they had no recruitment plan ready to overhaul the squad to grow with the new manager. All they did was hire a new promising young manager and basically told him - you do it. That’s one hell of an ask. That is not where his talent lies and now they will add more players that they can’t move in the next years and the manager is clearly scared to rock the boat too much, evidenced by him clinging on to CR7, still playing the old guard, still letting Maguire be captain when he should be nowhere near Old Trafford. He’s got one hell of a job to do.

Spot on, they have just skipped over so many important steps in the journey.

Whether you agree with our pretty brutal rebuild or Edu and Mikel's vision you have to credit the Kronkes for fully backing them every step of the way. If we are successful or not at least everyone at Arsenal is pulling the same way and that alone gives it a higher chance than United's 'ununited' approach.

You know where Im at with United now? Im actually starting to feel sorry for them. I dont even go after my United supporting mates anymore over WhatsApp or whenever we get together. Its just embarrassing to even bring United up now.

Now should be my time though, because when we were around the bottom and midtable, they were only too happy to stick the boot in.

Thanks. For me I’m almost sorry for them but not quite, if you look at redcafe there are idiots after idiots who for example think it blasphemous to rate Saka above Sancho when Sancho can’t get past any PL fullback for a whole season, meanwhile Saka is double or triple teamed and still adds a lot to the team. They are delusional and they deserve all they have coming to them imo.
