I think those teams have similar quality for the most parts. Your midfield options are much better, granted.
I said earlier that you have better overall depth - hopefully United can add 2 new players to the squad.

Someone posted this on CAF. Their second team versus ours. How on earth do they have similar quality. Our second team is better than their first barring Bruno.

I just don't understand, they have gone beyond RAWK now in terms of delusion. RAWK during Benitez you could atleast say they won the CL, were runners up and challenged for the title so they had some basis to their talk. There's nothing here in their team or results to warrant such delusion.

They have no depth and are average across the board with crocks made of glass in every position barring their GK. They will either have a strong cup run or crash out of all the cups early.

I can't help but feel really disappointed with how this window has transpired. It reminds me of previous seasons where we've finished 2nd, like 2017/18, and then followed it up with a window of Lee Grant, Fred and Dalot. A lack of ambition and comfortableness that "we've made it... for now."

The players we've brought in aren't bad, and I appreciate it probably feels really dismissive when people like @Stevo the Villan see me ranting about the Tielemans signing because, bar Bruno, Pogba, he's probably the best midfielder we've brought in over the last 15 years. But I just don't see the ambition there. I don't see how these signings take us to the next level after finishing 3rd in a non-competitive season.

The opportunities were there, and with a bit more ambition, there were better players we could have brought in. Instead, we're now gambling on the likes of Baleba, and we're still miles away from challenging for a title.

These feel like safe signings, economical signings, probably the signings of a team targeting a Top 5 position rather than one that's trying to win the league. I like the attack, but again, there's no elite player there. I know what I'm getting from Mbeumo and Cunha, and they're good players, but they're far from the kind of players that make me think we're going to stop crashing out in the Champions League knockouts. It's all just very mid. There's a lack of star quality, a lack of excitement, and even from a fan perspective, there's no signing that makes you genuinely sit there and think, **** me, we've got a player.

The starting eleven seems solid and will be contending for the last CL spot. To be competing for the PL title, the club needs to be perfect in every aspect including the coach and owner. United need to fix that before you can dream about competing for the PL title. Top players like Bruno who are at the peak want to compete for the title, and United are not that club at the moment.

I think they're sensible signings. You have an experienced top PL creative midfielder who scored an FA Cup winner. And you have a high energy 2 way tempo midfielder. And a press resistance physical DM. 3 midfielders for 200m was probably what you needed right now and likely much better than Sp**s recruitment.

The cavaet is you didn't have CL or Europa income to fund this transfer window and still had a great deal of transfer fee payments that are yet to be paid, something like 300-400m. Apparently you earned £80m less, due to both no Europe, less match day revenues and Adidas penalty and finishing near the relegation the season before hit you a large loss in revenue too. Then you have £50m in annual interest payments for Glazers loans.

What's happened with Mount anyway? Is he a perma crock?

You are no where near in a position to be aspiring to win the league. A few signings over one summer isnt going to change that, your entire club structure needs a reset and it takes season with sticking it out overtime with the right core group of appointments which you continue to fail to do time after time. This reeks of thinking youre a lot better than you are, you are very very far from the top, and your management shouldn't have aspirations to win the league at the moment, there are many steps to be taken before that.

Your team is doing the right thing targeting players that secure you in the top 4/5 bracket. The problem is, I don't think you've done that. You've just signed more bums.
