They will not fire him (Conte), the payout is too large. They will ramble on till his contract goes out.

For me, the biggest question is: When will Sp**s fulfill their potential? League Cup in 2008, Fa Cup in 1991, the League in 1961, that is a shocking return for a sizable club in London.
You‘re likely right. With Levy it all comes down to money. Not sure how they will perform the rest of the season though. He’s literally told the players that they generally suck, and the management sucks, so who do they play for now?
Conte said: "There are 10 games to go and some people think we can fight. Fight for what with this spirit, this attitude, this commitment? What? For seventh, eighth, 10th place”?
Total drama though.

My take... Conte is trying to get fired. He's testing out his power on the players and the management one more time, but he has no leeway or tricks after this and he knows his time is up. He's already thinking past Tottenham.

By taking initiative in his own, he takes control of the narrative. He determines the terms under which he was fired. Now Levy becomes the loser for firing him apparently out of pride at being called out rather than out of concern for success. Conte gets fired for wanting them the club to win, but he was thwarted. Other fan bases say - "we want Conte, he's a winner!" Other clubs see him as a chance to please disgruntled fan bases.

His public reputation, which Sp**s fans purred about, is intact, but at the expense of the club. He really feels a lot of these things, because he can't possibly be at fault in his own eyes, but the decision to let loose publically is a strategy.

In all of this is lost the fact that Sp**s are going through their best sustained period since the late 50s early 60s. Maybe they haven't figured out how to get over the hump, but it's hard to point at Levy as the main obstacle. Levy lost Bale but got Kane to stay. Man City and Chelsea are incredibly wealthy. There is pep and Klopp. Then there is always Man U and Liverpool. This is not an easy period to rise to the top.

Conte chose a lot of those players - some are good, some not so. Many that predated him are excellent, some not so much. He's basically asking for an oil state to buy the club because he can't do better than Arteta with the same money.

The best thing about Sp**s is their store is called the "Tottenham Experience." Much like that PaddyPower ad suggested, it must be a pretty short experience if it's just about the good times at Sp**s.

If Sp**s get top 4 and Teta fail to win the league there will be no difference between their achievements this season.

Whatever will transpire this season, for Sp**s the real question surely must be why the club is such an abject failure. They haven't won the league in my lifetime, they've won the FA Cup back in 91, and since then two minor trophies in the League Cup and the Audi Cup. This is a shocking return for a sizable club in London.

The Audi cup is not a real trophy. It makes the Charity shield look like winning Champions League. They should have a couple more cups in time frame you discuss but they are about where they should be. Definitely with Kane, Son, Eriksen team they should have had a couple of lower level cups. But Sp**s winning FA cup is the equivalent of Arsenal winning league. They spend at a 6th place level and finish between 4-7. But the cup bottling is definitely a phenomenon of being Spursy

Looking at the fixtures that the Spuds and ourselves have, even if we lose at Anfield, I'm anticipating St. Tot's day to be sewn up by the 21st of April at the latest. 😍

From 1961 to today, Sp**s should have had a completely different trophy haul. This is a club of complete failure, especially if you compare them to us. Why did it go so wrong?

But they aren’t and never could be Arsenal. Arsenal is older money than Lfc and Man Utd. We are a much bigger global brand. Difference between brand recognition and pedigree of Arsenal is much bigger. Sp**s are a big English club, but the gap between them financially and the other big clubs is substantial. Stan also is much richer than Levy. I agree though they should of got a couple of real cups with Kane and Poc. No doubt a lot of that is a culture of bottling

This idea that Tottenham are having a great era is a fiction invented by the club's owners and sections of the sports media who have a soft spot for them and need to find stuff to write about. No trophies in 15 years - and the last was the league cup - no league wins in 61 years and no FA Cup wins in over 30 years doesn't make for success by any yardstick.

Despite Wenger's best efforts 4th place is not a trophy. It has its financial benefits but in sporting terms it's nothing and totally arbitrary, just because UEFA decided to have this format which guarantees English clubs 4 places in the CL.

I didn't say they are having a great era. I said they are having their best period of sustained success since the 50-60s. That's just fact. Just like Brentford is having an unusual period of success for them right now. They've won a higher percentage of games than they did prior. They've had a higher average league position than they did before.

You can say that all that worth is nothing unless you win the league, but that's your choice, and you can't win the league until you win games and start moving up the table. If Conte were worth anything he would have built on that platform, but he really hasn't. They been coasting at the same level for years.

All these meltdowns yet they’re still fourth, same position they were all celebrating last season. They simply can’t handle us being top of the league.

They have actually performed better than last season, they only climb up to 4th in the last few games but they were comfortably 3rd/4th for most of this season. Not winning any cups is the baseline so league position should be their usual benchmark for the season

Read a few pages of Thefightingcock and I really cannot understand how they’re blaming Conte and his style of football. Did they think he would make them play prime tiki-taka when he joined them?

He has a very specific, proven style of football. He has won a lot with it at top clubs. They complained the same about Jose. Blaming and then sacking the head coach will NOT solve any of their problems. In fact, it will take them further.

The issue is at the top. Sporting achievements should be the highest priority because football is for fans. Fans want to compete and win trophies. Never accept mediocrity.

I believe it is an ICONIC interview and one that SHOULD, hopefully, galvanize their fans against Levy.
