• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

Solanke an underrated choice for flop of the season
Last season, there are a few of A-M members that tried to convince me how "Solanke is the right choice for the price tag since Watkins is out of reach"
in a hindsight, we probably could have used any striker this season, but then again...

Crazy to me that Ange hasn't been sacked yet. I get that winning the Europa League would be huge for them but if he does it, it doesn't suddenly make their performance levels acceptable this season. I'd be bringing someone new in to get some time with the squad ahead of summer and hope for a new manager bounce to get over the line in the Europa League. Feels archaic to think that him winning the Europa League would suggest that he's the right person for next season despite everything that's happened in the league. 17 losses in the league is crazy, that's several seasons worth of losses for us. Just checked and if you tally up our total losses and work backwards, it takes you into the 21/22 season before it reaches 17

Angeball defending.

Had the pleasure to see it in action with 9 men on the pitch. Probably the most entertaining football I ever watched. Going to miss big Ange when he is finally sacked.
Of all that Ange has done, the nine man thing was brilliant. I mean, if you're down to nine, there aren't many options. And the nine man high line confused Chelsea for far longer than a low block would have.

And I had the pleasure of watching it on a Swindon pub full of Sp**s supporters

The sight of their faces dropping when Udogie got the second yellow and then the realization after Jackson scored a hattrick, was a marvellous sight to experience their misery

Nothing will make you content where you are like Tottenham threatening to offer you a job.
Nah man! This is brutal. You mean even with a higher salary being offered one should rather accept a pay cut and stay put? That's like doing the Spursy thing to Sp**s. Well, anyway you apply the formula I guess the math is the same [Sp**s = ****] and vice versa.

Their fans must be reading the table upside down if they are even pondering the possibility of going after Klopp.
Yeah, I can only imagine after Klopp needed a break from expectation at Liverpool that he'd love to experience the entitlement of the Spuds.

I actually feel sorry for Ange. The fans were begging him to lose on purpose vs City. Now he's giving them what they want all season long and they still aren't happy.

Blame Levy all they want, the fans are the real problem at that club. So Spursy.

Didnt watch the match but heard there was no angeball at all against eintracht; they were compact, cautious and just gritted it out. Can someone confirm this?

He really wants that trophy if that's the case.

Can't confirm.

If that's the case then maybe they'll give him another chance next season 🙏
