The whole team apart from Romero wrote some pretty remarkable farewell messages, at a similar level to what you would expect if someone like Wenger had left. Sp**s fans are all shedding a tear as they see the messages roll in.
Yea mate upon hearing the news people around the globe just collapsed in Tescos crack dens and in corporate board rooms. Easily the biggest premature loss of a leader since Martin Luther King if not Martin Luther.

Have to say thought they would go for someone higher profile after getting Champions League with their Cup win, Frank feels like someone they could have gotten without that and a little anticlimactic.

He's a good coach of course, but has he ever had to deal with rotating in Europe before...and now he's being thrown in to a team in the tier 1 comp and coming off a trophy drought ending season manager and the pressure following that...feels like a potential disaster waiting to happen.

Levy has never been able to attract top players, but has gotten big name managers before... honestly thought they were going to get Inzaghi after he left Inter and the rumours of Ange going right after that lol!

Feel this could be a sink or swim appointment, similar to Potter being ruined at Chelsea...would have just given Ange another year if this was the best alternative they could come up with, too many question marks for me.
It's Levy. It's all about the money. Frank won't cost more than Big Ange did. The likes of Conte and Mourinho were the expensive appointments, as would a Poch return.

We all know the guy is a cheapskate, but as @Riou mentioned, aside from Mourinho and Conte, these managers have different styles, but then he'll be reluctant to bring in players the manager wants to fit their style. Then he'll just blame the manager again for not winning then rinse and repeat.

It's a shame he sacked Ange after winning the Eurhopeless League. They also sacked Ramos after he won the League Cup even though he was on course to relegate them. Such a shame.

Arsenal Quotes

"Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack.

A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith for Thomas, charging through the midfield... It's up for grabs now! Thomas! Right at the end!

What an unbelievable climax to the League season"

Brian Moore on the Thomas' winning goal at Anfield in 1989
