There is one interim option out there no one is talking about:

-Had the fourth fewest GA in 14/15 and joint fewest in 15/16
-He can organise the team and give it some structure

Give it Vangle till the end of the season.

Don’t really care who takes over anymore, just want whoever takes over to clear out pretty much every senior player...

Guys like LVG don’t take 4 month contracts though.

Team is such a mess it’s going to take a few months just to sort out.

Guys the calibre of LVG don’t take short term gigs though.
Depends on how it's sold to him? I'd take him to recalibrate us for 1/2 years then hand over to a younger guy....his last year could be spent headhunting the perfect replacement so he's ready to be in place

LVG is a great character, and I think his stint at United was underrated.

However, he’s also another of yesterday’s men. Would be a dud appointment, on a high salary. No thanks.

4 months? Those jobs are for bum managers.

You’ll have to give him this and next season to interest him.
Sorry I was editing my last post.......I'd take him to recalibrate us for 1/2 seasons before handing off to a younger guy. That last year could be spent headhunting the perfect guy so he was ready to be in place

The comments on here really do cover the whole range....experienced managers with a history of success in the past are seen as has been....younger managers are too inexperienced / unproven for the job and anyone in between is seen as a bum or an underwhelming option...tough crowd

The upside with LVG is you’ll again have someone at the club for who football is in his blood and second nature.

Right now you’ve got bums like Raul and Vinai running the club.

Raul was a bum at Barcelona. Said it in the summer and I was criticised for it.

LVG is an actual boss. He’d have no time for any of Raul’s noncery.

Get him in.
