How do you think they got that photo & know who the 2 guys are? I doubt the paparazzi been sat outside Arteta's house for weeks waiting for these two to appear. Someone tipped them off & you need to consider who and why.

We'll see what happens in the next few days no doubt but it could simply be that it was Arsenal, who are trying to keep their fans onside. Or it could have been City/Arteta. Arsenal are one of the American owned clubs who we believe have been conspiring against us.

So what better way to get one over on them by leading them on & letting them think Arteta is interested, making sure the news is public then pulling the rug from under them at the last minute?

Positives: Understands the league, speaks multiple languages, played under a manager who specialised in low block and set pieces, played under a manager who specialised in attacking football, was assistant and had the respect of one of the best managers the game has seen. He is young and has a modern take on the game. Also the fact he is an assistant coach, means he has to physically coach, not just manage.

Make no mistake, with proper backing and time are we making a very bold move, which could set us up for years to come. It is prefixed however by a lean period, akin to what we seeing at Old Trafford. A motivated man who will be doing his best to get the club back on track... but facing a myriad of challenges during our rebuild.

Happy enough with Arteta, at least it`s an appointment with a potential big upside. Hopefully he`ll come here with a clear plan and has made clear demands to the the useless bunch running the club.

The fact that it has dragged out could mean he has done just that.
