how many errors leading to goals has Sokratis made at Dortmund?

Neither is he 'horrendous on the ball'. Sure he's no Mats Hummels, but not many are.

In fact, Socrates has been credited with only one defensive error in the past four seasons combined and zero errors leading to goals. He brings stability, which is something Arsenal has been sorely lacking. Of course some people think he's ready for a rocking chair since he's 29 instead of 23. I think central defense is a good area for experience.

Emery Gone, Telly Back On
Last night Arteta was the 'overwhelming' favourite.. the night before he was the 'clear' favourite. Wonder what Crossy will come up with tonight.

Wouldn't mind Artetas appointment. I'm one of those last hopeless cases amongst our fanbase wanting to keep the Wengerball style of football at all cost. I'd rather return and "suffer" through the trophyless Cesc/Rosicky/Hleb/RVP years than win it the ugly way. Ideally I'd love us to reunite style and success again. Therefore I'm giving Mikel the benefit of the doubt.
And I've got doubts for sure..... especially as it is so blatantly obvious that Arteta is the cheapest choice for our penny pinching board.

Also he's not exactly sexy is he  He's this big burly Greek who's head is too big for his body and he looks like Desperate Dan and has a mad long name.

I'll miss him for sure. He's been one of the constants for us for a couple years since we've lost the like of Hummels and since Subotic got hurt and then left and then Bender, Bartra and Ginter went too. He's the one who's stuck in there and been a leader when others where not.

If you have young defenders at Arsenal, and likely you will have at least a couple young centre backs in your first team squad, then he'll be a good player for you for the next 2 or 3 even 4 seasons.

Surely people must be suspicious when there's numerous non Arsenal fans voting yes. The two Man Utd dudes have a track record for this.

Maybe that's the rational for Arteta. He's so pretty that everybody will be looking at him and not Sokratis. :p

No news then... good good.

Aweful.

I know life has lot more to offer than football and Arsenal but there are those times again and again, where one just can't let it go, constantly refreshing that page every few seconds.

Absolutely kills all productivity over the course of the day..just need that appointment and all the stuff members such that I can let go and everyday life can reappear

You won't be letting go until the transfer window closes.

You know it. I know it. Alexis' dogs know it.

Well, the longer this drags out, the better chance they're actually being thorough (as Ornstein said) in making their decision and the better chance they'll make a more sensible decision than to hire Artera. I have the patience of an oyster.

And completely off topic, but a few minutes ago I got an ad in the right hand column with a young woman/teen in a bikini for a site called PrettyLittleThings.com. Not sure if it's a teenage porn site or a place for teen girls to buy swimwear. Wasn't going to click the link to find out.

True !

But there's a glimmer of hope that, without Wenger playing his very peculiar shopping game, bussiness will be done quite early and we only have to look for a small surprise act on deadline day.
Would be very welcome, got a master thesis to finish and usually tend to find my priorities misplaced around that time
