They're obviously riding the wave right now, but it won't last forever and we'll see how they (and Slot in particular) handle adversity.

Can't believe they have left Salah to publicly beg for a contract every week. As long as they're winning it's fine. But a couple of losses and that will also be in focus.

I don't know why Salah is begging for a contract. He needs to know his worth

He’s not begging a contract is he? He’s begging he gets what he wants, he’s putting pressure on the club in public.

Fair ****s to Slot and Pool btw, I can’t keep saying they’ve had easy fixtures because they just win and win, CL too.

I actually don’t rate their squad that much, but when you have VVD and Salah, Trent and Allison anything is possible.

I don’t think they win the league though.

Honestly this. I get he loves the club but at some point it becomes a stain on your honour to be cucked around.
If anything he’s ****ing them over. They don’t give him what he wants, he leaves, and fans can blame the club.

He’s playing the right game.

His team have probably been shown numbers they don’t like.

I’m not a fan of the public antics Salah has employed, but it’s the game. Also age is such a huge stigma in football that’s literally the only reasons he’s not got the 2/3 year he’s probably asking.

In shape, motivated, playing well, apart from being 30 whatever he ticks every box you could ask of a footballer and then some.

As for Slot, I know nothing of Dutch football so I reserved judgement but I still couldn’t help but underestimate him. All I can say is fair play and we will have to consider Liverpool title contenders.

Pretty much where I’m at. I hoped the loss of Klopp would resemble similar to when SAF and Weng left but they have 4 world class players in there squad so maybe this is where they should be.

What’s pissed me off is Klopp taking them as far as they can go which is 3rd and Arne somehow pissing it.

I’ll still wait as Klopp was in title talks this time last season and they fell off, I hope Arne does the same. Bald prick.

You’re right, but it makes sense to me - he oversaw a cycle of players with his core group going from early twenties to thirties. He was also exhausted and from what I can tell became a massive prick towards the end.

There is a shelf life on overly intense characters and either a whole new squad or a new voice is normally needed (in my opinion).

I have no idea what the deal is with the Salah contract sitch, but surely he's the type of guy you would give a big contract to despite his age? I mean just look at his ****ing physique, he's fitter than most 25 year old elite PL players and his output is at all timer levels (I mean he is an all timer).

Surely he has every right (and deserves) that one big fat contract.

He was their third choice. Amorim was their 2nd choice.

He is the coach, they do the managing.

They didn't even get him a proper summer transfer window and he wanted a 6.

Did he cry about it? Nope. He just got Gravenberch to play well instead. A player Bayern couldn't wait to get rid of and Klopp only scratched the surface with.

He has gotten the most out of his squad thus far. That is all they could have asked for.

How this pans out going forward remains to be seen.
