Very unlikely. The guy who runs the PIF will not sign off on it.
Cool, I'm refusing to bedwet on this one but whenever I glance at socials the transfer seems inevitable.

Reminds me of when we were so sure we were gonna get Suarez but Pool simply refused to sell at all costs, hope they feel that heartbreak but it's not looking good with them selling Diaz.

As much as I am impressed with Liverpool's window, I feel like it is way too much change in one window to be flat out front runners...even if they get Isak. Slot inherited a team that has a year or 2 to gel. This squad will also require time.
Trent's playmaking from D will be sorely missed too
Agreed, it’s been great business but is way to much change for an offseason and the expectation this season is through the roof compared to last season.

Man City are the main danger this season.

Wouldn’t be bedwetting if they signed Isak and Wirtz while Greasy Mik goes for Gyokeres and Madueke.

It would be the best thing possible if Pool sell Nunez and Diaz for Isak and it falls through.
They’re also ignoring the glaring holes at CB they currently have - they’re basically relying on a 34 year old VVD being fit and carrying them all season.

Newcastle should really not let Isak go. 3 years on his deal and with the summer they’ve had it would be terrible from an optics perspective especially as Liverpool took Hugo from them

Maybe, maybe not. Certainly had a better chance if we didn’t sign Madueke who is the definition of mid level player.

You are aware that we held talks with Rodrygo’s people before we got Madueke and seemingly decided not to progress? (Presumably because of his demands, but also copium: because we think his demands might come down as the window starts to close)

I am aware and that’s the scary thing. Again putting trust in Arteta in his forward players. He hasn’t got a good track record in picking the right players.

Rodrygo needs to realize that he will be a bench player next season. Alonso doens't use wingers in is prefered tactic and even if he use a tactic to suit his players, he would be 3rd choice. I think he will be stubborn enough to wait till winter although the writing are already on the wall.

@MutableEarth, how did we let Ngumoha leave London and head up Scouseland? Were we actively pursuing him, did they just offer a great financial package etc?

Would have been great to have such a top talent playing off the left to balance out the top one's coming through from the right.

Arsenal Quotes

When I first came to Arsenal, I realised the back four were all university graduates in the art of defending. As for Tony Adams, I consider him to be a doctor of defence. He is simply outstanding.
