I made the mistake of underrating Diaz, quality player.

I think Sky had a stat that Salah contributed almost 50% of Liverpool's G+A in the PL last season which is absolutely insane.

This was Liverpool's title race last season

This summer Liverpool lost
Diaz 13
Nunez 5
Jota (rip) 6
Trent 3
Elliot 1

Total = 28 goals or about 32% of their goals.

If salah reverts to type they will lose approx another 7-10 goals from him. (He contributed to 34% of their goals last season)

Also moving Dominik Szoboszlai to RB they potentially lose another 6 goals from midfield. He scored a worldy against us though. But if he stays there half a season thats maybe 3 goals lost.

So 28 goals from players sold. A conservative 8 from salah drop off and 3 by moving Dominik Szoboszlai to RB. Ekitike/isak/wirtz need to cover 41 lost goals. Ekiteke genuinely looks class. We know isak has it but will he be suited to liverpools style, time will tell. Also there is a player I haven't mentioned. Gapko he scored 10 last season. If he plays one of the others is not. Ofc there are subs so players get minutes but Liverpool need to find the balance between new players gelling or playing others getting goals like they normally do.

One final point. I haven't touched on the defence it felt like they are conceding more than usual. But i just did a comparison against the same fixtures last season and they have only conceded 1 extra goal. As I mentioned in the other post it is too small a sample to see a trend which is why we need to see another 5 or 6 games. But if this continues that's an extra 6 goals conceded across a season which we probably need to add onto the 41 lost goals.

Their back up keeper could start for most top teams so and is seen as the successor anyway. A good opportunity for him

@El Duderino Is there some kind of festival in Brasil this time of year?
School year ends in Brazil around November/December. Maybe he's going to to visit his family when they have a lot of free time lol
