You just need to have moderators. Which you should do anyway really.

That is the system.

Yeah but...Imagine @albakos being personally liable for Farzad's rants on an online forum. There's only so much a moderator can do, especially in an unpaid position.

Its the sort of legislation that permacomfortable multimillionaires who never engage with the ruffians come up with.

I’m not sure the ruling says that, although it’s of course implied.

The ruling is more to make sure that there is some mechanism for moderation. Then if things spiral there will be consequences but it would always involve a dialogue first. They’ll ask you to take stuff down and then take action if you don’t.

I’m comfortable with it precisely because of guys like Farzaad lmao. Them guys cannot be platformed man.

Lot of traction. Not liking this. Special talent. But crazy money. Can see FSG negotiating themselves out if it though. This isn’t a signing they make.

People forget they had £110M on the table for Caicedo before he picked Chelsea

So we’re saying City clearly caught wind of this. House hunting in the north west etc. (likely Wirral not Wilmslow) then put out a statement saying he isn’t worth the outlay to cover their backs. FFS.

Yeah, that's why they put the statement out there, surprising from City tbh.

£130M transfer fee and probably £200k a week salary to blow everyone out the water. 5 year deal you're essentially dedicating £180M to him over 5 years. I still think it's worth it.

He's currently on £73k a week.

Along with a few of £130M, it does in fact, blow everyone out the water.
No it doesn’t. Why does his current salary matter? £200k a week is pretty standard for top players loool. A city or United would have given him more in fact.

Don’t make me pull up the wages of a lot of plodders in the PL earning £200k please.

Transfer fee is normal for an elite player. There’s been no blowing out the water here imo. They’ve paid his perceived market value considering he is one of the best in the world (or maybe the best) in his position. Wages coulda easily been 250-300k, and they probably will be.

Because clubs take that into consideration, it's why City ****ed it off and why Bayern have said nah. Bayern would never pay £130M for a footballer.

People need to stop acting Liverpool is some b*m club they 20 times title winners CL winners as well it's just unfortunate for them they not located in more major city. Because I'm pretty sure they would have end up with more stars.

FSG is showing some ambition Kroenke need to up his game

So one minute you support the notion that city said the finances are too much to make excuses and save their ass considering he chose Liverpool, but the next moment you use City as an example to show the strength of the financial offer and how they were blown out the water by Liverpool?

Pick 1 of the 2 sides here bud, you can’t have both.

Nobody has once said they’re a bum club. A signing of this magnitude is just out of character. It’s right people question it. If they get this done, you say fair play to the owners. Overpriced, but they’ve changed their approach and are taking big money risks.

People are surprised because it's unlike pool to spend this big on a player, they're usually rejected or blown away by other top clubs
