Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Nobody has once said they’re a bum club. A signing of this magnitude is just out of character. It’s right people question it. If they get this done, you say fair play to the owners. Overpriced, but they’ve changed their approach and are taking big money risks.
They really healthy financially and got rich owner can help out. I feel if they can make these kinds of deals they'll do it similar with us and Rice.

People are surprised because it's unlike pool to spend this big on a player, they're usually rejected or blown away by other top clubs
True but they won't get rejected everytime likely Wirtz like the project and Liverpool are also stable on and off the pitch.

I think Liverpool will try to negotiate to make this deal don't go beyond 100M

Damn that's some signing for Liverpool, didn't think they'd spend that kind of money on one player. Be like getting Özil from Werder that.

Pool is getting Wirtz and we're going after Sesko to get us over the line. What a joke of a club we are.

Assuming Pool brings a forward too, it's curtains for us. We're 2nd Place FC for the following years.

So one minute you support the notion that city said the finances are too much to make excuses and save their ass considering he chose Liverpool, but the next moment you use City as an example to show the strength of the financial offer and how they were blown out the water by Liverpool?

Pick 1 of the 2 sides here bud, you can’t have both.

No I didn't I said I was surprised City said no. In actual fact I think Wirtz just said no to City.

Where does the 200k come from for Wirtz? Bayern were willing to offer him 25 million euros per year which is roughly 400k pounds per week. Doubt he will take less for going to Liverpool.
Marmoush getting 350k. People are clueless here 😂

Liverpool pay massive wages as well despite what PR they push in the press about being skint.

VVD and Salah are likely on a million a week between the pair of them.

This bloke is going to be on top level money.

Agree. I just had to respond to the Fabrizio wannabe we have here who claimed 200k a week is part of some sort of elite package which blows clubs out the water.

In reality Wirtz has chosen the Liverpool project, and they will be offering a competitive wage to what he could have got elsewhere. It’s not gonna be a measly £200k.

Ok so if Wirtz said no to city they didn’t get blown out the water financially and pulled out of the race for him like you just suggested?

Either way Liverpool have blown everyone out the water with an offer of £130M, a British record... What are we doing here? Come on man get real.

I said the package as a whole, which is £180M over 5 years. Read what I say properly before responding.

You got done mate, accept it and move on. Man City would have paid that money and more if he accepted to join them. It’s like saying we blew Bayern and City out the water with the package when we signed Rice.

If you wanna evolve from baby Hagn to medium Hagn you need to do better.

We did, we agreed to spend £105M (way over our initial bid) to secure the deal, why do you think we paid that much in the end?

No they haven’t. Read what people have said. A multitude of clubs can afford the fee and wages. They’ve blown nobody out of the water financially. He likes the project, just like what has been reported. That’s the decision he’s made, so other clubs step back.

Financially they've blown 99% of clubs out the water who can't afford £126M this summer.

He just dug himself a hole and tryna justify it rather than just accepting he shouldn’t have described it as ‘blowing everyone out the water” with £200k a week (which he plucked out of nowhere) 😂

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
