That Times article said the club rejected a £26m offer from China for him.

Terrible hot takes
Sell him I say, we need to make space for better player we buy in summer window.

I agree we need to make space

But after Alexis, Lucas is a keeper!

Giroud and Walcott needs to go, they are not complete enough as players

Welbeck, well I don't trust his body anyway, good but not world class by any means

Slightly less disappointing than Park.... But thats about it.

Give me a Gervinho, Campbell, Chamakh, Bendtner, Aliadiere any day of the week.

I'd take him for around £10m, depending on what he's on wage wise. Not many strikers around right now and I could see him doing well in our system.

No idea how good he is but we spent 17M on him and he's barely played. We could have added that money to the Xhaka/Mustafa fee and bought a truly elite player.

It's not his fault but sell him.

This has been one of Wengers biggest problem in recent years buying low budget players who have failed to deliver for various reasons and ended up being a burden. His not a striker nor a winger. A nothing player just like Walcott.

Yeah that's what really is confusing. Here we have a manager who regardless of whether we have money or not has expressed a certain disdain for spending and yet here he is pissing money down the drain seemingly. Between Xhaka and Mustafi that's what 65-70 million? Add on the 17 for Lucas and that's 82-87 million. 80 million probably gets us in the right ballpark for Griezmann, Auba or Dybala with a bit left over because you're only paying one set of wages rather than 3. Or that could have been split to buy say Koulibaly and Isco. Instead we've got 2 players in Mustafi and Xhaka who have had mixed seasons and a frustrated player nearing 30 with no resale value.

West Ham linked again:

Perez has not made a secret of his unhappiness around the training ground but it has also become a two-way street as there has been surprise that he got so angry and frustrated so quickly.

There is a feeling that he expected to walk into the team and did not think it would be such a tough fight which has also counted heavily against him with a growing frustration at his attitude.

Perez has voiced his annoyance at coaching staff and with team mates, particularly after the home defeat to Bayern Munich and now he looks certain to go this summer.
