Lucas Torreira: Loan Watch

Can Lucas rise above his shortcomings and the low opinions Arsenal fans have of him?

Wenger wouldn’t have signed him in the first place though, not for 25M anyway. The guy is dreadful with the ball.
Wenger didn’t sign anybody from 2016 onwards. His last signing was Cech in 2015. After that Gazidis took full power and had the final say, hence we signed bum after bum. Xhaka and Kolasinac Wenger players? Get out.

Wenger wanting Lucas Perez haha

Bit sick with so much talk right after the sad event happened, give it time and he might even feel comfortable in Europe again who knows.

Maybe

You're wrong, no?

I'm sure he was asked about these transfers, they didn't just give him some new players he never wanted

That's, like, your opinion, man.

The manager said that the club had reached out to him to offer support, but when pressed about the comments in which Torreira expressed a desire to play for Boca Juniors, Arteta insisted more time was needed.

“I understand how he’s feeling emotionally,” he said.

“He probably feels the need and responsibility to be closer to his family. But it’s not the moment to make any decisions and it certainly is a decision that has to be made by different parties.

“Now, nothing is going to change. It’s just an interview with some comments. Let’s see what happens.”

Love Wenger but he did sign Park Chu Young, Chamakh, Sanogo, Bischoff, André Santos, Squillaci and Sylvestre.

Lucas Perez is believable

Shows the difficulty of treating people like assets.

But some people here thinks because they are pros a have a contract they are inmune to personal problems. Now think the situation with Saliba, he doesn't get a single opportunity to show himself for the team due to Bumteta and he lost his mom also.

Our board and managers are experts in devaluating players and lowing their form and moral.

Just look at the stupid poll of this thread, you can't say nothing about color skin players but you can joke about players height and mock about it.

It's something we are all guilty of. Even reading that article on Torreira's mental health, I couldn't help but see the impact on our club and the fact that his transfer value will have reduced as a result of his personal issues. It's one of the many things that is rotten about football but unfortunately it's not going to change - the players themselves sign their rights away in exchange for obscene contracts and why shouldn't they when there is so much money in the game? I hope that Torreira can find his equilibrium again, wherever he does that ultimately.

It's a shame he doesn't want to come back, he achieved what Partey couldn't even if he had a bad season full of personal issues.

Would easily improve the team but oh well, if you're unhappy at your work the best option is always to leave if you can afford it.

Have none of the journos asked Arteta about this?
I dont know what Arteta can say, they are obviously trying to find a club that will take him but its difficult.
He doesnt want to be here so no good pulling him back having to quarantine & just make him train. If you register him he will take up a non HG space so it would be daft.
