Is it?

30mil is nothing, cant buy a decent replacement for that.
In terms of money it is, yes. It's close to what we spent for him.

Player-value will drop even more if this decline continues. I can understand the players who will ask for a move.

Give him a proper DM partner, maybe Denis Zakaria (?), and build the midfield from there with Guendouzi and Willock as rotating options. Sell Xhaka.

A young player with world class potential. We should not be selling.

I don't understand the reason behind wanting this guy sold. The same applies to Guendouzi.

Torreira is a specialist holding midfielder in a 3 man midfield. He will get exposed in any other formation. If you make it a foot race where he is covering our whole midfield, he will struggle. If you make it where he has two players who also put in a defensive shift allowing him to cover shorter distances, he becomes invaluable.

He has been amongst the best performers in the last two games. If Arteta comes in and plays a 3 man midfield, he should be the first name at the base of it.

Wholeheartedly agree. Hopefully Mikel sees this as well.

He seems to catch a lot of heat from some of our fans, no idea why, 30mil is a pointless sale price in my opinion, gets you nothing and he is one of the few players we have who has a bit of tenacity, we will look stupid in a few years if we were to sell him now.

problem is none of our other midfielders can read the game defensively and cover and they are not athletic enough

Why on earth would Arsenal let Torreira go on a loan deal without an agreement for a permanent move in place? Not like he's a malcontent at the team or out of the rotation.
