Dumfries hit the bar in the first minute and wasted at least another big chance I remember. We were toothless like we've been most of the season against a team that rested several players for the league match the weekend after as well.

Seem to recall they cleared a Havertz cross off of the line and we had a stonewall penalty denied.

I just watched some of the highlights again we could have easily scored 2 goals in the second half. Saliba missed an absolute sitter from a corner and Havertz had a deflected shot just inches from going in.

And so were Inter, toothless on their own patch thanks to our team pushing them back. After 10 minutes they were an away side in their own stadium.

Tbf Saka and Martinelli already play more or less as wing backs so something like this is not inconceivable. Probably Partey/Merino instead of Jorgi though
